Good evening Google Family. My mom and I visited to see The Forge. I really liked the movie. So many life lessons to absorb. I would love to see it again. I loved the appearance of this movie theater, inside and outside. The restrooms were spotlessly clean!!! This is the first time we have been to an AMC dine in movie. We have previously patronized Movie Tavern and we love it. I love the option of ordering on the app and soon after we arrive someone is delivering our food to our seats, just like Movie Tavern. How great is that!!! The lighting and the aura and the ambiance of the theater is off the Chain!!! Since my mom has mobility issues, an employee gifted us a huge bag of popcorn. He said it was on the house and I gave him a Thank you for being kind card. Its people like him that keep people like me and us coming back. I love the high back rocker seats and the reclining seats. Sometimes I forgot I was in a theater and not home. It was just that Comfortable!! We sat in the Handicapped section. I love the wide screen and the wonderful lighting and the great sound system. I will definitely return. This theater is at the top of my list of great movie theaters in Pennsylvania. Good night Google Family and don't forget to work out!!!!!! I forgot to mention parking. Plenty of parking around the shopping center. Plenty of handicapped spaces. This is a Must win stop for all movie lovers!!!!
Update: I visited on Christmas Day without my beautiful mom. My mom passed away on March 24th of this year. I miss her so. It felt funny to be here today without her. I came here to see the movie, The Housemaid. My movie started at 9:40 am. I arrived early to visit the rest room and order some snacks from concessions. They have kiosks here where you can order or you can tell an employee what you would like. Sarai, whose name is the same as my cousin, assisted me. We have Cheyney in common. I worked there, and she is a student there. I enjoyed conversing with her. I ordered regular popcorn and tater tots with barbecue sauce. I found out that you can also order food from the bar. They have a bar here, which is a total experience. I was talking with Chris, who used to be a student at Cheyney, who works at the bar. It was great meeting up with Cheyney folk again. I didn't realize until I left that Cheyney is so close to this movie location. Cheyney is only a few blocks away. I visited the rest room and it was clean and neat. I love that this is a dine-in movie, where you can order the food and then someone brings it to your seat. How cool is that? This movie theatre has become my favorite and I patronize all of them. From Movie Tavern, AMC, Regal and Cinemark. I really enjoyed The Housemaid and I would not mind viewing it again. Also I would like to mention the assisted listening devices. All movie theaters do not have them. I happen to notice on the sign here that they were available. I asked an employee about them and how do they work? He was generous enough to show me the device and he asked Sarai to show me how they worked. Sarai did and I asked how many devices do they have? Sarai said about seven total. I have a hearing impairment and I need these. They would have been a total asset for me when viewing the Housemaid. I know that I would have enjoyed it even more. Next week, I will be coming back here and seeing another movie and asking someone to show me again how they work and this time I will be using them in the movie theater at my seat. These are a must-have for all movie theaters!!! All of them do not have carry them, but they should. Have a good night, workout, be healthy, fit and fabulous and active and mobile especially for people over 50 years of age. Good night Family. Merry Xmas. My Auditorium was number 7 and my seat number was H1. There was one other person in the same Auditorium as me viewing The...
Read moreTried this place multiple times and really think I'll go somewhere farther next time.
-Theaters are pretty crappy compared to others I've been to, the screens are small and I think the seats in front of you aren't that much lower
-Food is unbelievably overpriced. If you pay $12 for a burger you should be able to get it some way other than well done. Tried a few items and they just aren't good, which would be fine if you weren't paying so much for everything.
-Service is generally bad, but the last time I went there was the worst I've ever seen anywhere. Took an hour and multiple requests to get a beer that was ordered 10 minutes before the movie started, a specialty 'Mac' dish came out cold, and server was terrible. At one point our server didn't respond to our call button so we asked someone else for something, which got our waitress there 10 minutes later asking if someone else took an order for us. We explained what happened which got her to tell us that the other person is not allowed to take our order and she made us place it again, all in the middle of a movie. Finally she was very loud trying to get people's attention to give them their bills right around the climax of the movie. I've seen people be much more effective whispering and handing them out. If this was a restaurant I would have walked out well before I got an entrée.
-This bugs me but most people probably won't care: they have 'boneless wings' on the menu that are just chicken fingers. Not smaller chicken fingers tossed in a wing sauce, not even with a wing sauce to dip in, just chicken fingers. When I took another look at the menu I noticed the 'wings' have the exact same description and dipping sauce as the chicken fingers. And when I got my 'wings' I thought it was a mistake and they gave me chicken fingers, they did but they are also the wings. I like chicken fingers but I don't want to order wings and get chicken fingers. Don't sell the same item calling it 2 different things and pretend you have something different.
-If you want to do a dine-in theater, go to...
Read moreActually 1.5 stars. Let me share my experience from last night. This was my first time back in a theater since Covid. Was excited to see a movie on the big screen. As a former A-List member, and long time Stubs member, I know how this theater works. First, the pre-order food thing is a joke. A $2 Delivery Fee? Ugh. Pre-ordered anyway. Get to the theater 20 mins before showtime, get to our seats early and start watching previews. Screen is BLURRY/Not Focused. No buttons at the seat for assistance anymore so went and talked to a manager. She assured me the screen tech would look at the clarity, then she would come to my seat personally and ask if it was any better. Was initially impressed that they'd check with me, but alas, no one ever adjusted the clarity and no one ever checked back with me. Had a headache after movie because it was so blurry (see photos). It was almost like it was 3D where there are layers, like a little outline to words, edges, etc. Very hard to watch. Then there's the food & service. So we preordered our meals. I ordered a salad, which was delivered by a grumpy teen who literally threw the bowl and a plastic wrapped fork onto my table and walked away. I also never got the drink I also preordered. Had to find someone to ask for it. Then when that was finally delivered, it was the wrong drink. At this point I was so thirsty after eating my salad for 15 mins, and the movie was starting, that I wasn't about to yet get up again and search for help. Funny, we talked about re-joining as A-List members when we got to the theater, but after the long list of issues and the lack of service, I'll probably just pay for streaming movies from home. Don't go here with any expectations, except to pay $10 for popcorn and $10 for a large non-alcoholic drink, probably to have them delivered (if you're lucky to get everything you preordered) by a grumpy teen. And if the screen is blurry/unfocused, just leave and ask for a refund....
