TERRIBLE SERVICE

My friend, his wife, My girlfriend and I all we there for dinner on a Saturday night.

We were seated pretty quickly, but then it took A HALF HOUR to take drink orders.

The waiter (Oscar) was rude and negligent.

When he came by eventually to take our orders (and drink orders) he was in a hurry and seemed put out to wait on us.

I asked him to make sure my steak was rare (see earlier review) and of course it came out well done.

I was going to roll with it and just eat another well done steak, but he insisted I send it back.

I eventually got a rare steak, 45 mins later. All the while my girl and my friends waiting to eat dinners.

We wanted dessert, we waited ANOTHER HALF HOUR before my friends wife flagged him down while passing the table.

Finally, they drug their feet when handling the check.

This place used to be great, but the service has gone down hill BIG TIME.

The food that is cooked is good, but its never what you order.

Out of the 5 times I have ordered the El Paisano ( steak and shrimp) I have always said rare.

4 out of 5 times I have gotten well done.

I don't know or care who is responsible. If you are the owner, and you read this.

Fix the issue.

Food is OK but the service is lacking. We actually stopped coming here for a while due to this. We tried again today hoping it had changed... but sadly no. Also, there were a lot of flies around our table! My wife and daughter arrived before I did and let the waiter know that I was coming. I arrived about 5 minutes after she ordered. The waiter had not brought a menu or a water for me. When he did come back for my order I asked him for a water and then he left before I could order a drink. When he finally came back he did not bring the water that I had asked for. I asked what alcohol was in one of the drinks on the menu and he replied "It's sweeter" with no explanation of what was in it. I ordered a drink and he left again before I could place my food order. He didn't come back again for a while so we ended up asking another waitress for a water and let her know that I needed to place an order. She left and never brought the water. Our waiter finally came back and I asked if I could get lettuce and tomato in a burrito. He replied "No. It's too big". I let him know they can leave some of the other ingredients out if they could add the lettuce. At that point he replied in a very short manner "I'll take care of it." Needless to say my wife and daughter we completely finished eating before my food came out.

Due to this experience we probably won't be back...

We had other orders as well. We waited 25 minutes for the other orders to finally arrive. Another 5 minutes went by when finally, the chimichangas arrived. They were black from being charred while cooking. They were so burnt the meat inside was unrecognizable.

Although, the waitress apologized, this food should have never left the kitchen. Shame on the cook and the person who brought it to the table.

Once we decided to leave I asked for the manager. After a long wait, he came to the hostess station. I explained what happened and asked why food would be served when it was visibly inedible He did not respond. Only raised his eyebrows as if to wonder why I was even speaking to him. I then asked if he was aware of this and he said yes, he saw the chimichangs. I paused to wait for, at least, an apology. There was nothing but uncomfortable silence. I chose to leave never to return.

This type of dismissiveness in the service industry is all-to-common. No one seems to take pride in their services much anymore. I don't feel that putting this out there to make others beware, is being , what they call a "Karen." I think it's just those of us who once enjoyed going out for a nice meal and expecting to receive good service are finally just fed up with the attitudes of today's...
