Okay, I've waited a few days for this just to make sure I wasn't reviewing when upset.
This is an older hotel and it is beginning to show it's age. Even after a somewhat recent remodel, there are some things that need work. Mainly, the air conditioning. It is horrendous. One insanely loud wall unit with a rigged vent to the front of the suite. The side of the bed near the unit was ice cold while it was struggling to be comfortable in the front room. Beds were comfortable . . . if you could stand down-type pillows that didn't have enough fill. I had to ask the front desk for an additional 3 pillows. They forgot the cases for them, but that's okay.
Speaking of that . . . staff left a little to be desired. There was the pillow case thing . . . and when I asked if they could come and get the luggage cart they said "didn't you bring it up there?" Yeah, I did. But my 3 year old who just crapped her pants and my 10 month old who is screaming for . . . something might need my attention. I also had to ask for additional towels because they decided that the 5 we had in there were too many (they weren't) and removed them. When I had to go down to pick them up myself, they said they "didn't see someone" to bring them up to me. I will mention that a staff member named Jeffrey was a great help to me and was very kind. Thank you, Jeff.
Don't even get me started on the fact that they ran a FIRE ALARM TEST on Sunday morning (4/28/19) at 8:42am. (I asked the front desk they said it was a test) This is after TWO weddings from the night before. The place was packed. Listen, you're not testing the response of the guests, you're testing your equipment. Try doing that when half your guests aren't sleeping off two life-changing parties.
Look at that, I got myself worked up again. Okay, let's bring this back down a bit.
The place seemed clean. That's a big one for me. The beds were fairly comfy. The breakfast was pretty tasty (milk fridge was way too warm, though). Staff left a little to be desired. The air conditioner was terrible. They scared the living hell out of me with a fire alarm test at 8:40 in the morning. Cost was high...
Read moreDingy, outdated, & poor customer service. My daughter & I arrived just before and 5pm & decided to check out & go elsewhere by 8:30pm. The parking lot had maybe a total of 10 cars, however we were placed on the 3rd floor at the end of a long hallway. When we entered,we were not greeted in a welcoming manner, but instead scolded by an older Indian man, which made us feel very uneasy & uncomfortable. If looks could kill,we would have been dead on sight. After checking in,we proceed to our king suite ,and I inspect the room,in which immediately I noticed red flags. The toilet paper was wet but folded hotel style, toilet had to be flushed twice for toilet paper to fully go down drain, not to mention toilet is extremely low, like a toddler toilet, water stains throughout shower. There was no hair dryer as advertised ,room had a faint smell of cigarette smoke, pull out couch was filthy.Mattress was full of white and brown stains of sum sort. King bed mattress also wasn't up to par, blankets and sheets were extremely wrinkled wit sum stains as well and looked as if bed was never stripped & cleaned after previous guest, but instead jus made in a hotel style manner. TV has only 39 dish network channels,in which half produce a fuzzy screen or a message stating the channel is unavailable, and microwave did not work.Shortly after checking in at 5,we left for dinner and to think somethings over, which we concluded that we would rather go home than to stay comfortably at this motel. When checking, out the front desk gentleman said to us "oh, you're checking out soo soon?- you just got here". He did not ask any questions about why,he did not offer to accommodate, refund or anything,as if he could care less. I would never go back to this location for the price of the room + deposit, lack of customer service,& cleanliness. A complete waste of time & $228...
Read moreOmg when I say I was disappointed in my stay smh. I booked this hotel this past weekend of 10/8/2022 due to my college having homecoming weekend. This was one of the 3 hotels listed that is close to the school about 27 minutes out which was perfect. Arriving at hotel was easy and the female at the front desk was very pleasant as well. We went up to the room to drop our bags off to head to the school so maybe we spent about 15 mins in the room before heading out. I always check the bedding for bed bugs and it was fine. I also always spray the room and sheets down with Lysol as well so everything so far was normal. So we left to the school and was gone until maybe 12/12:30am early Sunday morning. We get back to the room to get ready for bed and I had a soda I wanted to put in the fridge to chill it. When I opened the fridge I literally screamed scary my friend. I seen a roach crawling in the fridge and quickly close it and was freaked out. My friend called the front desk to complain and the staff said it was really nothing they could do because hotel was currently book to capacity. My friend said he would inform his manager and they would get back to me but I never heard anything. At that point I didn’t even trust another room because if my current room had a roach the hotel definitely has roaches in general. We just got in the bed very uncomfortable scared that roaches would be on our bed during the night so we did not sleep well. Also the bathroom floor towel in front of the tub was dirty with old staining on it also disgusting as well as hair not mines or my friends (because we had colored hair at the time) was under the cover which we clearly didn’t see earlier in the day. I was very annoyed and disappointed at my stay at the hotel. I will not return ever to this hotel and don’t recommend anyone...
