Denny's — Restaurant in Concord

Not the worst Denny's I've ever been in, but close. Absolutely no one waiting to be seated, but I still stood there without even a simple "Hi, I'll be right with you" for a good 5 minutes. The guy at the register was too busy talking to a co-worker or girlfriend to acknowledge me.

When I was "seated", the guy just handed me a menu, said "sit over there" while pointing in some vague direction, and went back to yakking. Floors were sticky. Tables weren't cleaned.

Prompt order taking (I would hope so, place was empty), but they were out of 2 of the 3 things I wanted. Order came fast but was completely wrong. Order comes back correct next time, but cold and undercooked. Food was decent when I was finally able to eat it.

Server never checked in after I finally got the correct order. Sat for over 10 minutes waiting for my check, finally had enough, went up front to pay, only to be told the cashier couldn't ring up the order without the check. Waited some more. Check was finally found. That's a lot of "finallys".

Side note: during my meal, overheard the girl mentioned previously talking about how her Denny's was out of fries. Seems like a lot of food shortages,...

WORST DENNY'S I'VE EVER BEEN TO IN OVER 10 YEARS!!! Who's dumb enough to hire these grimy shmucks? Came in before work this morning and had nothing but problems on a simple Grand Slam got my order wrong 3 different times!...When it finally came the manager charged me over $5 what it was supposed to be. I know this because I got the exact same meal a little over a week ago as well as every other time I've come for years..PANCAKES WERE SOGGY, EGGS COLD AND BURNT, BACON WAS UNDER-COOKED (probably because they rushed it to make an attempt to get all my food out at once in which they still miserably failed.) I was so fed up trying to correct their mistakes I just paid the overcharged bill and left the manager with a "You will be getting a review." Gladly paid $5 to know never to have my family or I come here again.

P.S. Don't waste your time going into the bathrooms which are filfthy to the point they are unusable and smell like porto-potty's...1 star only because I feel bad for the server who ran around in circles and tried to make everything right despite his manager having a stick up...

One of the best of the Denny's in the bay area and better than most Denny's. As for service is usually better than most as most Denys will be your typical slowness. But this one is pretty quick. Though I eat alone. The staff can be a good ear for us locals and helpful for travelers. Unlike the Denny’s diner in pleasant hill. This Dennys serves beer and other alcoholic beverages as it has or had a bar born into it. Most Denys won’t serve that. Price is right and food is cooked. If there is a problem they will fix it but its rare. Unlike other Denys. Unlike that tourist trap, Denys (San Francisco fisherman’s Warf) Will not rip off the public! Which I find disgusting for the tourist trap ones to rip off public and then say oh we pay our employees higher wages and there a city, tax. I’m sorry but If I’m a tourist I want a familayer sign with the familiar advertising of 2 4 6 8 menu and save a buck on my already expensive trip.
