My husband and I wanted to grab a bite after I got off work today and I'm so happy we checked out Eureka for their happy hour. The hostess (Keisha) sweetly thanked us for our patience after she finished one call and placed another on hold. She sat us in the bar area at a table for two, built with booth-style seats facing the TVs above the bar. (But music is playing so you can watch MNF but you can't hear the game).
Our server (Christina) took our drink orders (soda and iced tea - $2.50 each) and our HH menu selections. I ordered shishito peppers ($5), Casey ordered lollipop corn dogs ($5), and we decided to share a Nacho Average Nacho plate ($7). The peppers came out really fast. Next time I'm here I'll order them well-done/blistered. They may not have been blackened at all, but they did have a little tobiko on top which was a cute touch.
Lollipop corn dogs came out next. 5 large corn dog "bites" on sticks. Totally adorable - majorly delicious!! A light corn shell over extremely juicy meat filling. The best part about these wasn't the amazing hot dog or the corn shell: it was the mustard they were served with. Their house-made spicy porter mustard was so good I ended up dipping the nacho chips in it too. And then my fingers. I also asked if they sell it (they do not) but I would totally buy some if they did.
The manager (Dan) walked by and offered to refill our drinks. He got brownie points from me for saying "Miss" instead of "Ma'am" when he spoke to me. Love that. Another staff person brought out our fresh drinks - which leads me to the only complaint about the place: too many straws. We already had straws in our first drinks and the refills were brought with their own straws which to me just seems a little wasteful. I didn't want one in the first place.
Our last plate to arrive was the nacho platter. Thick, crispy chips with a light cheese coating, black beans, guacamole, plus some amazing chicken and a sweet chipotle sauce. It was terrific and it was huge (all the food portions were actually very generous, especially for HH!) I'd definitely recommend these if youre sharing between a few people!
We brought a little food home and I ate it all as I wrote this review, with the audio on the football game playing in the background. :) Can't wait to go back and get some more great food and good service, with a large...

I had one of the most disturbing experiences I’ve ever had at a restaurant at the Eureka! in Concord on Friday, June 21 around 1:00 PM. My wife and I had been regulars here since the location opened, often enjoying their fig burgers, beers, and mimosas. So when we planned a special event with 26 guests, we chose this restaurant. That was a mistake.
We confirmed our party size ahead of time, were told we would be accommodated, and showed up expecting a great afternoon. Instead, we were met with an aggressive, hostile confrontation by the General Manager, Laura Rosenzweig. When I calmly inquired about seating and asked her to lower her voice in front of my family, she yelled louder, shouting “You don’t talk to me like that!” in full earshot of other diners and guests 30+ feet away.
When I asked for her name and the corporate contact information to file a complaint, she claimed there was none. She offered excuses about not being the one who answered the phone and completely refused to de-escalate the situation. A simple apology and a professional tone would have resolved everything—but instead, she chose to have a racially charged meltdown.
As a business owner, I would never tolerate my staff treating loyal customers like this. And frankly, I believe if I were a white man, I would’ve been treated very differently. That’s not an assumption—it’s lived experience. This behavior was unacceptable.
We left and took our party—and our $1,500 tab—to another restaurant that showed us the service Eureka! failed to deliver.
Unless Eureka! Restaurant Group responds with accountability, apology, and staff retraining, I’ll be encouraging others to take their business elsewhere. If you value dignity, professionalism, and respect, think twice before dining at...
Read moreMy wife called Eureka tonight 4.2.21 to place an order at 6:50 pm. She was kindly told that she had to place an order online. My wife went ahead jumped online and ordered and paid for a meal for herself, our 3 year old son and me. We ordered a spicy chicken sandwich with fries, a seafood salad and kids chicken tenders. The order was place at 7pm and were scheduled for pickup at 7:45pm. 45 minutes to make a sandwich, a salad and chicken tenders seemed a little excessive but we know its busy and understand that things may take longer because restaurants are getting back into the swing of things due to covid. Anyway, we arrive at Eureka to pick up our food at 7:45 and ended up waiting until 8:20. We waited a total of 1 hour and 20min for a basic sandwich, nothing special, a basic salad and chicken tenders. When my wife asked the manager, Stephanie, why the food was taking so long her response was interesting. She said, "that she was sorry and that she couldn't make her cooks cook faster." I don't blame the cooks. I blame sloppy management and poor planning by those in charge. We planned our whole night around the time are food was scheduled o be ready. We have a 3 year old son and 1 year old daughter and it is not easy when they are in the car tired and hungry. It was an unfortunate first and last experience at Eureka. I try to put myself sitting at a table in a restaurant and the food is 30 minutes late and the manager walking up to the table and apologizing for the cooks not being able to cook faster. Service was very poor, and food was cold. When you try a restaurant for the first time, you just want to feel like you got your moneys worth. In this case I paid in full for a 1 star experience with 2 star food. Think twice before calling in an order...
