The Drinks are cute and amazing. Every drink has its own design. The food was great and delicious. The serving size of the plates will make you full. The service was amazing. Everyone was welcoming. I definitely would recommend this restaurant, especially if you love sea food.

Because I've been to locations in other states I was really looking forward to getting dinner here. Well, I was thoroughly disappointed! The wings were just okay. We ordered jerk and sweet (pineapple I believe). The absolute worst of it was my "lobster and shrimp" pasta. What an utter waste of $25! The pasta was dry. Minimal sauce and barely seasoned. Tasted like it needed a hug. No love went into the recipe or preparation. I added some garlic, salt, pepper, and parsley but that didn't help much. I swear the lobster looked and tasted like scraps. Just nasty. The shrimp resembled and tasted like the precooked frozen ones you find in a bag at Walmart.

I would give the lobster and shrimp pasta dish a ZERO. I'm 100% sure I would have enjoyed Olive Garden anything pasta more.

I don't mean to sound rude but Bahama Breeze you HAVE to do better than THIS! I barely touched my food and the majority of it went...

Bahama Breeze is an American restaurant chain specializing in Caribbean-inspired seafood, chicken, steaks, and tropical drinks. I will say the drinks looked as though they would rival any resort in the Caribbean if not better. The food is detailed below based on our purchases. I will emphasize if anyone is on a LOW SODIUM diet, this place may not be for you. Location: This is one of about 9 in the Greater Orlando area alone, plenty of parking and close to many vacation rentals, handicap accessible. They offer indoor and outdoor seating as needed and weather permits. Atmosphere: The restaurant is decorated to give you an island vibe but the music was odd, a mixture of island music and 80’s rock. What I liked: The staff was friendly and attentive, the menu is colorful, large print and easy to understand, and they provide good tasting filtered drinking water (a plus in Florida). I also like that the menu offers Gluten-free dishes and small and large plates so if you are not very hungry you can find something on the smaller side. The food: The portions were large and easily sharable. The children’s grilled chicken was enough for two children to share (age 5 and 3), and we ordered 3 appetizers to share and had plenty to bring home. Habanero Chicken Wings: 8 Buffalo-style chicken wings served in a spicy habanero pepper BBQ sauce. There was a spicy tang to these but not as flavorful as the Jerk wings. I would not order these again. Jamaican Jerk Wings: 8 large wings (drum and flat combined) marinated in Jamaican jerk seasonings and served with a crispy skin. These wings are huge and REALLY high sodium! This is a good dish to share with others or a standalone meal. Beef Empanadas: Savory juicy beef, very tasty and fresh pastry. Served with a seasoned sour cream and pineapple chutney. Taste of Jamaica: A large platter of jerk chicken, pulled jerk pork, beef empanada, braised greens, sweet plantains, white rice and black beans. Enough to share or for a very hungry person. we substituted the carbs with broccoli. A good dish to share or to explore multiple Caribbean flavors at once. Ropa Viejo Tostones: Two crispy plantain bowls filled with braised beef and served over yellow rice black beans. Good Caribbean dish. Tequila Sunburned Glazed Salmon: Grilled salmon marinated with a Tequila glaze, and topped with pineapple-mango salsa. It comes with cinnamon mashed sweet potatoes and green beans, but we substituted the mash with broccoli. Average flavor and taste. Skillet-simmered Jerk Shrimp: Large shrimp cooked in garlic-thyme butter and served with warm (slightly sweet but tasty) Cuban bread. This was a good small shrimp dish. Grilled Chicken Breast for Kids: Large grilled chicken breast and fries. The chicken was tough. Mango Sorbet with Mango Fruit:...

Food was really good. Came during happy hour. They had some drinks that were $3, $4, or $5. 1/2 appetizers and $11.99 for wings. Pretty good pricing. We ended up getting the Bahamarita, Ultimate Pineapple, and Mojito Cubano for our drinks. We all enjoyed them. For appetizers, we tried the crab dip, beef empanadas, coconut shrimp, and firecracker shrimp. All delicious, came out fast and hot. They had live music outside which I enjoyed a lot, but made it a tad bit too loud to have a conversation with my table. We thought service was just okay, we felt like we were constantly chasing our server down for things she should’ve known to provide and that she didn’t want to be there. The server was not happy at all and kinda brought us down in the process. I had to ask for dipping sauce containers twice, at the time of me asking I had the ramekins in my to go container as a placeholder so she could clear the table and make room and the server made the comment “We’re not gonna take the ramekins home by the way” well duh I literally just asked for a container for it. Our table was sticky, we had to ask for it to be cleaned. We had to ask for water (I think a sign of good service is bringing out water right away without having to ask especially in Florida heat), we had to ask for napkins, straws, utensils. And like I mentioned we chased her down for these things, so took 20 minutes to get everything we needed to comfortably eat our food. She also was kinda pushy trying to get us to order the regular priced entrees, which we would have if it didn’t take us 20 minutes to get what we needed for appetizers and she wasn’t trying to force them on us while taking our appetizer order and forgetting to bring us the the things we asked for. All in all, I would come back for the food and atmosphere and try sitting with a different server...

Now let’s get into it! There is nothing Jamaican about this pork chop, but as the teens say, it was “bussin”. Now I understand why Bahama Breeze uses Jamaican Curry, it's catchy and has some island flair as is the theme of the restaurant. But if you were looking for curry, you shall not find it here my friends! The pork chop holds its corner nicely, very tender, juicy and well seasoned, but they just didn’t use anything that a Jamaican would use, especially not curry. I didn’t catch a hint of thyme, no scotch bonnet, pimento, chive, masala, cumin, cardamom, all of the complex flavors that are necessary to call something Jamaican and what we know in the Caribbean as curry. Now don’t get me wrong, I am not vex with Bahama Breeze, they are doing the job with marketing, but those of us from the islands will expect to receive curry when we see it. The chutney was not needed in my opinion, as I said the chop was tender and tasty, the chutney was entirely too sweet and didn’t compliment the meat for me. While the sweet potatoes weren't bad, I would have defaulted to regular mashed potatoes with the perfection of the asparagus! Do I recommend this chop, oh yes, just don’t get your mouth watering for curry or you will be disappointed. While I did enjoy the conch fritters, I prefer them fried a bit more and with no garnish, but I am partial to those from The Bahamas! The service from Jessica D was great, she kept our cups filled and had a wonderful attitude, she is a keeper. Unnerved Traveler
