I called a head to try and make a reservation for 10, I was told it’s first come first serve but if we made it there soon it wouldn’t be but maybe a 30 minute wait, I immediately went up and got checked in. They said it would be approximately 30 minutes, maybe a little sooner, they said they would text me when the table is ready. After waiting approximately 45 minutes to an hour, I went in and asked approx how much longer it would be. She said that there was a party of seven and a party of eight ahead of us. (As I am watching people with parties of 4 & 5 etc) coming in & signing up on the list and getting called back before us. I asked the lady why people are signing in and getting taken to the tables before us. She said it might be another 10 to 15 minutes but she would get us in ASAP so I waited another 35 to 40 minutes, at which time I went in and asked why people are already leaving that got there after us and already had their meal. At this time a guy who said he was in charge came up and I showed him the text I received when I signed in to show him how long I’ve been waiting, he said well you are a party of 10, if you look over there by the kitchen, you’ll see a bunch of orders for the kitchen staff, if I sit you down and put all your orders in, It’s going to swamp the kitchen staff. He was told this is a restaurant and that is part of the business and that’s unacceptable. I also explained to him when I called and they said that they do not accept reservations it is based on a first come first serve basis which is obviously not close to being the truth. After approximately 2 1/2 to 3 hours, we finally got back after he realized we were right. (We were going to go elsewhere but we figured that would have taken longer). At this time, none of us were in a very good mood, our waitress told us all that some of the items on the menu were not available & explained which items. Thank God she had a great personality which actually cheered our whole party up. She was one of the best waitresses I have ever had. (Her name was Danielle), Danielle turned a horrible start to the evening into a great time! This place needs more people like Danielle working there (especially up front signing people in). The food was very good as usual , it’s just a shame, the hassle that you have to go through to get sat down to order the food. All I can say is a huge thumbs up to Danielle for making our night enjoyable. Thank you Danielle! If I make it back there next year hopefully you will be our waitress again! Service from Danielle was a definite 10/10stars. Up front maybe a 2 out of 10 stars. Hopefully that will change...
Read moreWe had come here twice. Back-to-back. And you'll read why. Their portions are good in comparison with their pricing. It was unfortunate reading some of the other reviews with their not-so-great experience. Although...
Let's start with the food.
Appetizers: Their fried calamari is good. Not overly flaky, overly fried to a crisp, or unenjoyable. It's good finding a place like this that actually has good calamari, and prepped right. Since there are a lot of places that are disappointing.
Their onions rings are the same as the calamari. And the dipping sauce that comes with it adds to. Couldn't get enough of it.
Entree: The first night we went, I ordered their Cajun Chicken(picture n/a). Was not disappointed. It was filling. But not too filling where you're bloated from pasta.
Thee wife orders herself their steak special of the day(Wednesday special), with a side of sweet potatoes fries(with cinnamon on the side). She was definitely satisfied with their preparation of the steak, along with the flavor.
The second night I ordered the 35 Shrimp Scampi. Delicious. And they also have a 35 Shrimp of deep fried shrimp which is a fairly good portioned meal.
Thee wife orders herself a flatbread cheeseburger. Needless to say, it looked interesting in the scope of a alternate cheeseburger from the traditional approach. And she was once more satisfied with her meal. She described it as a nice, tasty alternative to a traditional burger.
Service/Atmosphere: First night, we sat at the bar. It wasn't so apparent at the time, although the bartender was quite busy. So, we mistook her demeanor in the way you'd expect. Although, once things simmered down as far as the drink orders coming in for her to fill. She was a bit more relaxed. And provided a tolerable service.
Our second night, super busy again. Like, packed to the gills. Where you had to be like a hawk to spot someone soon to leave to get a table in the bar area. We had the privilege of having Stephanie as our waiter, who was awesome. She kept up with us to make sure we were doing fine, and if we had needed anything. Even though she had a lot of tables, with a lot of people(4+) per table to cater to. As would be expected when you go to a venue.
The overall experience/atmosphere of this place is nice. You're "outside" while inside. And the ambiance makes you want to stay. Oh, and they have pools tables! If you're not too full to play a game of billiards after your meal.
I'd for sure...
Read moreI’ve come here several times and used to plan to come here often however this visit made me never want to come back.
I placed a mobile order at 2:30 to be ready at 2:57. I arrived at millers and checked in at 2:45. I waited for about 20 minutes until until 3:07 PM. I walked inside to find no one standing at the counter. I waited there for another minute or two before I approach the office where two managers were standing. I asked very politely if anyone working to go counter the man responded with “no but yeah, what do you need” and I said “yeah I’m doing it to a pick up. I’ve been sitting outside of my car for about 20 minutes”. We went to the counter and I said well I really don’t know how long it’s been sitting here so let me check it really quick and he just looked absolutely irritated that I was even asking to check my meal. After I checked my meal, which was lukewarm by this time, I asked for an extra ranch as I already paid for it but it wasn’t in the bag to which he responded with “well did you pay for it?” In a very rude tone. Not only do I not appreciate that as a customer but as someone who works in customer service. I wasn’t going to spend more time in his vicinity so I didn’t ask for it to be remade. And he never suggested for it to be remade either, which again, is ridiculous as someone who works in customer service, has worked in restaurants and dealt with to-go orders frequently. While heading out, I asked “is it usual for someone to be waiting for about 20 minutes out in the parking lot for curbside?” and he said “well, we usually don’t have anybody working with to go area. Did you call?” again in the same rude tone. I said “no but I checked in on the app and I get a text message” and he said “well you’re supposed to call it this time because no one‘s here in this area isn’t staffed right now.” How am I supposed to know that? There’s no sign. Nothing saying they don’t take curbside orders and nobody’s watching the to go area. I’ve never been spoken to like I was such a bother in my entire life. I bet if I were a 6’2 260lb man he would have never spoken to me like that. Sorry I ruined the vibe by asking for my order and sorry you lost a customer forever. I’ll never be back to this location. And thanks for taking my $5 tip too. I thought I was tipping a hostess or something...
