I can't attest to the inside of this place only because we were denied entrance. We were a group of six that traveled almost 2 hours to check this place out. Two of our friends were celebrating their birthday so we decided to take travel to Orlando to play some games and have some drinks. We walk in right off the bat the cashier had a crummy attitude. We needed a mask to enter. No big deal. Where we live they aren't required so we were unprepared. We left and returned after a short trip to Walgreens. We were super excited cause the place looked cool from what we could see from the entrance. They required ID to enter. No big deal we were all over 21 and couple of us over 30. We all had ID'S. Well one of our friends' driver license was expired so they refused to let him in. He was the one celebrating his birthday. His license expired the day before on his birthday and he had not realized it. We asked for the manager to see if they cut us a break as we had traveled so far just to come here. We were met with the same response. I'm not sure what the big deal was that his license being expired. It doesn't change his age. He was the oldest one there and didn't look a bit under age. I feel like a big group like that is probably going to spend a good amount of money on drinks. The fact that we came from so far and could clearly see we all came from the same town would've been given a little more curiosity. There were other forms of ID like a passport that they would accept but I want to know who the hell carries that around if you live in Florida? He had a valid police identification card that they refused to accept. Even though it said state ID or drivers license. I just think a little more courtesy could've been exercised.
Reply to Owner: You can bend the rules for 2 but not for 6? Only one person had an expired ID by one day. Not all 6. And every other bar we went to in Orlando gave us no issues. Even franchises. Obviously you can see what kind of unprofessional person owns...
Read moreI used to visit player1 frequently. Over time, not so much. I went out there last night for the first time in a long time (to celebrate my birthday weekend (its on may 7th, but we took advantage of cinco de mayo as well.)) and the experience was okay. Not like it was when they first opened up. The young lady at the front was alright. She could use a little customer service training in my opinion. She did her job, but didn't make us feel welcomed. We get inside and I noticed some improvements to the console stations. More room to stretch your legs, which was a nice touch. I get to the bar and this is where things get interesting. One of the bartenders and I used to be friends but we aren't anymore. I assumed she was working her other job, which is why I decided to go...she happened to be behind the bar last night. To not start anything, I let my friends order just to not make things awkward. We get our beers without hassle. I walk over to my friend (who was hanging out by the spy hunter pinball machine to make room for others who were ordering) and noticed this particular bartender whispering into another bartenders ear. They both look over at me, so I assume something was said about me. I brushed it off. I noticed after that moment, I was getting okay service. I understand it was slightly busy, but they were getting orders 3 at a time. Whenever it was my go, skipped over me, or would get my order, but serve everyone else who had ordered after me. My friends would go up to the bar and be back with rounds for everyone (it was five of us) within 2 minutes of leaving. Took me almost ten minutes to get one beer whenever I would go to the bar solo. Other then that, we spent our time playing the Wii U in the corner. Ended up leaving way earlier than we planned on (all In part of the bartenders going at a snails pace with me) and spent the remainder of the night at backstage (pool gall in the same plaza). Will return when the bartenders mature...
Read moreUsed to be a fun place to go to hang out, have a drink, and play some games, just another tourist spot now it seems, every time I've gone there it's all people on dates, couples etc. if you were hoping to meet "player two" here, this is not it.
Furthermore, bar staff started actively ignoring me and then ultimately confronting me stating they refuse to provide service to me because I "don't have respect for people in the service industry", because while they were eavesdropping on a conversation I was having with somebody else at the bar, they heard me stating that I dated a waitress, and that I'd never get any sleep because of her crazy schedule. So as such, literally the worst possible service, actually should be a -1 rating for service since they actually actively ganged up on me after what I can only assume was one of them starting the misinformation gossip train and then it going from there.
The people that work here all have very HARD leftist mentality, bordering on sociopathic levels of lack of empathy for others, very "hive" mentality; tick off one and the hornet's nest will come after you with torches and pitchforks, beware.
Also, this place will charge you a 3-4% service fee if you pay with a credit card, but are doing so illegally because they do not disclose it anywhere, there is no posted notice, they don't warn you in advance. Even the payment device displays only the amount it would be if paid in cash (and they don't take cash here either), only to then charge a higher amount after paying with a credit card.
If ALL you want to do is play some videogames, $6 + tax + illegally nondisclosed credit card fees, will let you play all the retro arcade games and emulator games you want all night long.... just avoid any social interaction, and don't talk to anybody here, apparently. Would be 1 star if not for that, gonna go ahead and give it 2 since that isn't a bad price for a place you can go to have...
