Poke One — Restaurant in Bismarck

I went to their soft opening and was thoroughly impressed! The food was fresh & an extremely good value for the portion size! I bought the 3 protein bowl - it included a base, 5 sides, sauces and any toppings of choice for just under $18 (I went with a base of white rice, proteins of tuna (2) and salmon (1), sides of mango, pineapple, edamame, seaweed salad and cucumber and sauces of the Poke One house sauce and the Yum Yum sauce, finished off with sesame seeds for a topping . I loved how much I could customize my meal - I went with my husband who bought a completely different combination - they have several protein options to choose from, both spicy and non-spicy. I easily could have split this meal into two meals given the generous portion size. The service was also friendly and each employee was kind and helpful. Came here to try poke for the first time ever. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They helped me decide what sauces would go best with the choices of protein I had selected. The 4 ptotiens were shrimp, crab, salmon and spicy tuna. The spicy tuna was a warm heat, not overly spicy. They recommended the poke one sauce and yum yum sauce. The yum yum sauce has a mango flavor and they told me the poke one sauce has a BBQ type of flavor. If it did it was not a strong flavor of BBQ. It was a wonderful experience over all. Hmmmm…. I’ve tried similar to this resto one in Milwaukee . Since we haven’t tried this one yet so we did . I didn’t like my order much the Sweet Heat . It has a kick which is what I wanted but I guess for me it’s too overwhelming the seaweeds , jalapeño plus didn’t I don’t like it eat raw salmon or anything now so I guess I made it me not liking it much .
