The Capital Grille — Restaurant in Tysons

4/15/2023, we came for a birthday dinner. This restaurant is amazing with service and talents chef team. From hosts team that leading to our table and our server Lourdes, she is extremely excellent to Make sure we have unforgettable meals and channels thru Chef team to have oyster cooked to perfection from cold platter dish. Appreciate Chef making such fabulous dishes and wow the cooked oysters really super great. Cooked delicious oysters can be a menu option, seriously, it is so good. Brussels Sprouts cooked to perfection and no burned the best I ever eat.often it burns in many other restaurants, this restaurant delivers the best. Love spinach with garlic. Everything is so perfect. Roberto takes care of our bread , bread are so good and packages our delicious unfinished food to the best. Really many wonderful foods to choose. Staff Lourdes made our visit a memorable and so wonderful and she gave our printed photo. Amazing happy surprise with beautiful photo. Thanks to everyone. 12/30/22 -Fantastic dine at the Capital Grille for birthday. Restaurant is very pleasant and fabulous setting to dine. Everything we ordered are amazing. Chef are talented. Grand plateau very fresh lobster 🦞, extra jumbo shrimp 🍤 and extra large jumbo lump crab 🦀 and per our request and chef exceptional oyster 🦪 bake to knock your socks off. Amazing it is that great. Chef is marvelous. Wow, this seems to be fabulous menu addition for customers prefer cooked oysters, Chef definitely 👍 talent.

Clam chowder soup is just about right and delicious. Roasted wild mushrooms so tasty 😋 . Sliced beef filet mignon 🥩 cooked to perfection for slightly pink but delicious and tender. Thick Sea bass bake to mouth watering. Well, even breads are so unbelievably delicious 🤤

Dessert 🍮 are sweet tooth paradise. Lastly and important making this first dining experience at the Capital Grille so unforgettable and appreciated and touched are front staff seating us with a wonderful place and staff Max professional and passionate attentive to our dining needs and pleasure really extends our joys and celebrations of birthday to perfection today. Thanks you all Chef/Max/Leading hostess for your hospitality and excellent and exceptional service and quality cuisine food and make this birthday day dinner special and unforgettable. Really appreciate and highly recommend the Capital Grille. We very much enjoy Max excellent service and spoiled by it. Max you will be our go to staff. My wife and I came here for our third anniversary (hold your applause, please!!) and we had an excellent time.

We arrived and were immediately flustered by the fact that there is no parking. There's a valet service at the front and if you end up stopping your car up there, they're liable just to jump in and drive it away anyway. Valet is $5 and was actually pretty convenient, so not a big deal. However, I found out after we sat down that there's also parking around the back of the building if you didn't want to pay for valet.

Nevertheless, the valet drove off with our car and we entered into the restaurant. When you first walk in, the hostess booth is on the right and there's a large bar area on the left. We were told that the bar addition is new and it's a pretty nice spot. We, however, were taking into the dining area and were given a nice spot.

Our water was given to us almost instantly and our waiter was just a few minutes behind that. Guy (that was his name) was excellent the whole time. He was incredibly friendly, helpful in talking us through the menu and was attentive throughout the night.

One the things that was most impressive to us was the quality of the service that we received. My wife and I don't scream wealth and yet we were treated with courtesy, diligence and kindness the whole night. Our waiter stayed and chatted with us for a bit, the manager stopped by twice to check in on us and Angela also stopped by a few times. They were all incredibly sweet to us.

In fact, when we told them that it was our anniversary, Angela threw some confetti onto our table and delivered us a handwritten card congratulating us and Guy brought us free dessert (and some extra to take home to our kids). Free dessert is a staple of this place (they were handing it out to just about everyone), and yet, it was such a nice touch and made us feel very special.

The food itself was great. We ordered salmon and a steak and both were excellent for the price. The food isn't cheap, definitely an anniversary/birthday/celebration kind of a restaurant, but they made it well worth our money. We'll definitely be...

I was gifted a gift card so we celebrated our engagement here. We were seated right away, at a quiet table, and the waitress came right over to take our drink order. We had delicious soup which arrived hot and quickly. The lobster bisque was the special and it was so good. I never had so much lobster in a soup that was tender and tasty. The French onion was almost black and it was so rich! The bread basket was overflowing with choices and each one was flavorful and fresh. The onion focaccia was my favorite. We ordered our main course from the chef’s selection section. I had the sliced filet with wild mushrooms, some kind of onions, and a fig sauce of sorts. I personally thought the mushrooms and onions were just ok and I sauce didn’t taste like much bc the mushrooms “sweated” and the sauce was extra runny. BUT the steak was sooooo delicious!!!! I didn’t even know I was chewing it bc it was so tender. The flavor was perfect- not too salty and definitely savory. Tim had the tenderloin and lobster. It was amazing as well. The tenderloin was cooked perfect and the small lobsters were so sweet and tender. We loved both dishes. For sides we got half mashed potatoes and half creamed corn. The mashed potatoes were good but the corn was so different. It wasn’t runny or even mushy. It was like corn off the cob with a hint of cream, some butter, and bacon. It was so delicious I wish I had a full order! We got a fabulous little surprise dessert of some kind of cheesecake and some kind of chocolate cake (maybe crème brûlée cheesecake and flourless chocolate cake). They came with fresh fruit and a little whipped cream. Delicious. It said “Happy Anniversary” because they didn’t have “Happy engagement”! We even received a photo card to commemorate our engagement!! So cool!!! Our waitress, Lourdes, was spot on! She made us feel special and was attentive, without being in our faces.
