We called cha when we were on our way that we will get there at 4:45am and if that’s ok. The gentleman on the phone said as long as you reach before 5, you are good. When we reached at 4:47, the girl at the register had the most unpleasant facial expression as if she didn’t want to be there or take our order. She was constantly on her phone, looking down and least interested in our queries. She said we don’t have keema and then in the middle of our order, she said oh and it will be a takeaway. We tried to tell her that we called and a guy picked up & he said as long as we are in before five, we are good… so she went and spoke to her colleagues who also were saying no and when I said who picked up the phone, let me talk to him, she just said let’s just finish the order. If you can’t serve the customer with a pleasant smile, at least don’t have a RBF! Then after 5 minutes we were told that they don’t have any eggs. At this point, my sister got really mad. We were there in the middle of the night with my 8 month old baby. It was nearing our sehri time and I am sure that they were just trying to bother us by saying that they are our of eggs. My sister asked the mean red head girl to call the manager and in Urdu told him everything. He was very nice and refunded and also we got to order something different. To our surprise, in that shami kabab roll, there were eggs! Magically, they appeared! I loved cha but their staff is just not worth talking to. They are rude, on their phone and don’t want to work. At least the red head girl was very rude. Suggestion to the owner: please keep one of your own people at the store to look over them, because they are making their own rules and lying just because a customer challenged them! Also, please keep the same menu in both places. We went in hopes of halwa puri but...
Read moreSamosa was very good, with an authentic & nostalgic Pakistani taste, flaky crust, fresh and fried to order, with perfectly mix of spice & herbs in the potato stuffing. Sweet and green chutney with samosa were delicious as well. Falooda looked attractive as a first date, but when it opened up, it was sad, depressed, and insecure, with most ingredients sinking & drowning their sorrows to the bottom of the vertically challenged cup, with the vermicelli, basil seeds, and mixed nuts. Issue was the top half was a froth of kulfi-milkshake quicksand. The kulfi itself was MIA. The lack of an actual kulfi hurt my dil and made me want to post MISSING KULFI posters. Note to management: put a whole kulfi in bigger cup so it can freely swim & party with the other ingredients. Also, with costs of doing business in a mall, prices may seem a bit inflated for what you get. You may or may not consider calling your Chachee in Lahore and asking what she thinks of paying 700 rupees for only 1 samosa. The prices may put off some customers from paying, say, $12 for a samosa chaat, so the quality of food doesnt even matter if the food doesn't make it to first base with several people that balked at the menu and walked out. Lots of potential, though, if my delicious 700 rupee samosa is any indicator of quality. I'll be back for more. As long as they find my innocent, sweet missing kulfi. On the next Cha Visit episode: when food preparation, eating and phone use by employees at the same time at prep station is highly discouraged. At least the kashmiri...
Read moreI would give this place 0 stars if I could. I’ve been here several times last year and used to have a decent experience. We brought some out-of-town family members to eat here last night, and the experience was horrible! The food quality and taste of everything have drastically gone down since I last came, but the prices have gone up! The chicken tikka burger was flavorless and is basically an insult to Paki street food. The coating of the zinger burgers were over fried and the burgers tasted of pure grease, making them inedible. I only ate half of the burger and my stomach has been in so much pain since. I also don’t understand why the zinger burger has a slice of unmelted cheese on it, which adds no flavor and just tastes and feels rubbery as you eat. The spicy mayo fries were incredibly salty because they had too much chaat masala on them, and they were absolutely drenched in mayo! It used to be a balanced amount of mayo and sauce on crispy fries, but last night we got gross, soggy, over-salted fries with a huge blob of mayo and sauce all over them. My family said the best thing about their meal was their can of Coca Cola. We paid almost $75 for this meal, and it was so disappointing and clearly not worth it. It seems like things are just getting thrown together in their kitchen without any care or quality check. I think I would’ve had a better experience at McDonald’s. I don’t see myself coming back...
