Very upset with the customer service here. We ordered several dishes, but one of the dishes, the vegan minced meat, did not taste good at all. It was visually unappealing, and I did not like the texture and the flavor. I immediately notified my server that I didnât like it and if they could take it back and she just stared at me blankly, and said there was nothing they could do about it. When it came time to pay the bill, she still charged us for it. We told her again that we didnât like it, and she asked what we didnât like about it, as if it was our fault we didnât like their food. A customer saying that they donât like a dish is justification enough - no additional reason should be required for the restaurant to fix it. The chef was right there and yet didnât come forward and say anything or offer any concession. It made me feel bad for even saying anything.
Having worked in the restaurant industry myself, I know how hard restaurant staff works, and I have never sent a dish back until today. If a customer didnât like a dish at the restaurants Iâve worked at, we immediately took it back, removed it from their bill, and offered them something more satisfactory. VeggiEAT does not care if their customer is satisfied, they only care if the customer...
Read moreI was shocked to find a vegan friendly restaurant in Sedona! While visiting on a day trip, we decided to have lunch here on our way back to Phoenix and it was a great decision.
We were the only dine-in customers when we swung by but the team made us feel very welcomed. Their menu ranges from vegan sushi to East Asian inspired rice bowls and noodle dishes. I had their Korean BBQ Bowl ($20) with Brown Rice and it was superb. The sauce they used was delicious but leaned more towards teriyaki than it did Korean gochujang, but the amount of veggies and chick'n they provided was two thumbs up. Great quality food that you couldn't even tell was not actually chicken.
Another person had their Fried Chicken Rice Bowl and it was essentially chicken katsu. I wish I had more stomach space to try that as well. Our food was delicious and even though it took some time to get our orders, we were very happy with the meal.
Pro-tip: for the price you pay, I would argue against ordering a sushi roll and instead go for one of the bowls. They were massive and was only a dollar or two more than the sushi.
Note about the restroom - they share it with the gas station next door and unfortunately it has seen better days. Be careful traversing that endeavor when...
Read moreI honestly can't rave about this place enough - if I could give 10 stars, I would. Vegetarian options haven't always been the easiest to come by here in the VOC - I would end up eating the same 3 or 4 things over and over - so when VeggiEAT opened I was beyond excited. In fact, I wasn't sure it could live up to how excited I was...until it did.
The staff clearly cares about the food and you can taste it. I haven't had one item that wasn't fantastic. It's always a treat when you find a place you love that is consistent - you know exactly what you're getting and quality does not waiver. Aside from making delicious food, the staff is just magical - I love each and every one of them and always enjoy going in.
If you're thinking of sleeping on this place because you're not vegan or vegetarian, I encourage you to think twice. All of my friends and family who are nowhere close to being vegan or vegetarian love this place just as much as I do. Delicious...
