Say Tea & Smile — Restaurant in Coral Gables

Beautiful aesthetic, but very slow service and not so very good tea. We really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately, it fell very short. First off, it took 20 minutes before our order was taken and then another 20-30 minutes to make our actual drinks. They were so watered down and did not taste like tea or any bubble tea I've ever had at all. The owner who took our order couldn't even understand or speak English well and could barely repeat what we were ordering. We tried to ask if he had something because he seemed to panic when we ordered it and he said he didn't know English. He also kept looking back at the menu, which one would think an owner would know his own menu from top to bottom. Later, when we received the drink he seemed most confused about, it tasted like red water instead of tea the only flavor came from the premade lychee jelly. Another kind customer translated for us and told him and he was kind enough to try and remake them, but it was another 20 minutes of waiting and the drinks still fell short and were tasteless. I did try to tell him he could just pour reg strong tea into the watered down cup so we didn't have to wait so long, but even at that, he didn't understand. The owner has no warmth and doesn't make you feel welcome. He didn't even seem happy to have customers waiting. Also, very pricey for what you get. I love bubble teas ❤️🧋😁 and this is a good place to stop by, many bubbles options as well as flavors available.

The “Pink Rose” caught my eye, I’ll leave it for a next visit. The Matcha bubble tea was good, I asked no additional sugar and I’m glad I didn’t asked for more sweetness since it was already sweet.

IMPORTANT NOTE: After taking your pics of your drinks, SHAKE IT, SHAKE IT!!! Otherwise you’ll be just drinking the sweetness alone! 🫧 🧋🧋🧋🧋

Flavor: was good, I could feel the matcha flavor, the lid was SO CUTE, With a good positive message saying “ Enjoy every moment” and “Good things take time” with a choice of colors that match with the inside decoration.

Decoration: Fancy looking, a “kind of a dreamy romantic French” vibe where pastel pink, green and beige tones are used with touches of golden morris and marble-looking tables and pastel purple couches look very comfortable.

There’s only 6 tables and 2 chairs on a high table looking to the street.

Music: The electro music 🎵 makes it a plus, uplifting fast rhythm.

Service: Was friendly and helpful when asking questions and asking our sweetness preference.

Freaking amazing!! Was craving boba one night and decided to come to Say Tea & Smile. An awesome decision if I do say so myself. The ambiance was great and enjoyed the cute decor and furniture, which to my surprise, was actually comfortable. The service was amazing with my boyfriend and I’s questions being answered. Not to mention, we did not feel rushed and ended up with great drinks! My boyfriend ended up going for the lemon smoothie with mango jellies as he had wanted something a bit on the sour side. He absolutely loved it!! However, I got a strawberry cream matcha with boba, which was delicious. I do have to say I think the next time I’ll adjust the sweetness but it’s great that you’re able to get what’s right for you!!
