It was my first time, so I really shouldn't judge. It was probably a mistake to go there when the Dolphins were playing. Some people were really into the game, screaming and hollering as though they'd bet their life savings on it (maybe they did...).
The beer was cold. The very pretty bartender didn't notice me when I first walked in, but once she did she kept the cold beers coming. The ribs and wings combo was good enough.
It would have been nice to see more available ladies there, but it was no surprise that it was mostly guys. Pretty much the few ladies that were there were coupled up with a guy.
All in all, it seems like a decent enough place with a "salt of the Earth" blue collar clientele. I'll check it out again...once football season is over.
One star off for the drunk guy who started pestering me, which led to my early departure. Granted, that's not the bar's fault. He seemed like a regular there. I guess that's all a part of going to a new place. Kind of an initiation.
At least I can smoke there without being judged by a bunch of whiny cry-baby anti-smoking...
Read moreCrappy little bar, they probably haven't changed the cooking oil since before COVID, and if you plan on playing pool, bring a very short stick, because the table is crammed into a corner next to the restrooms. The karaoke show was the worst I've ever seen, and the prices are high for a dank little neighborhood bar. I'm sure the ever present regulars would disagree with me if they could see straight enough to text, but unlikely to happen any time soon. If you're in a hurry, this is definitely not the place for you. The lackluster staff took 45 minutes to get my second drink, and I had to go find the waitress to get it, since she never came to my table after the first one. A total waste of...
Read moreThis place is strange, to say the least. There was a poker tournament the night we were there, as well as folks playing darts and pool. The atmosphere is incredibly low key. You can smoke in here, and can even buy cigarettes at the bar, both of which I found surprising. Bottled beer is overpriced -- $5 for a Corona. Service was incredibly poor. Our bartender acted offended that we asked what beers they had. We didn't realize they served food until someone else received food, she never offered us a menu. We didn't order second drinks because our server spent her time chatting with regulars rather than checking in on us. Won't...
