This place is horrible!! Right from the start. We ordered a pitcher of margaritas and they brought it out. But no glasses. We had to ask for it. One person in our group asked for a Pepsi and they said they didn’t have any, only diet pepsi. What?! That same person asked for carne asada which is steak for dinner. Another person in our group asked for a steak quesadillas and the waiter told him there were out of steak! What?! We ordered queso fundido as an appetizer. It was dripping with grease! I ordered beef tostadas and the beef smelled liked tuna and had no taste! Tostadas are hard shells and it was soggy in the middle! Which means it was sitting there for awhile before it got served to me. Also the rice had a dark brown on some of the top which means it was sitting there for awhile before it was served. The waiter never brought us silverware or napkins. Someone in our group had to get up and get some. One person in our party asked for a carnitas burrito and it came out 1/2 hr later and it was a shrimp burrito. We asked to speak to the manager 3 times and he finally came out about 30 mins later! His excuse was that they were busy! I can understand if 1 or 2 things get messed up but all that happened above, come on! The table next to us asked for steak tacos and the waiter replied, “the best we can do is beef!” Lol, really, what a as response! Don’t waste your time with this place! We usually go to El Dorado which is fantastic but they were closed do to a family emergency so we tried out this place. Big mistake! Horrible, horrible food! We visited this restaurant because we were staying at a hotel nearby and my daughter wanted enchiladas. The reviews looked great so we decided to give it a try. We arrived about 8:00 to a very busy restaurant. Many people waiting to be seated. Was told the wait was about 1/2 hour so we decided to wait it out. After about 20 Min or so you can tell other folks had been waiting for a very long time and started complaining. A group of at least 6 walked out after waiting over an hour. This did push us up a bit and we ended up waiting about 40 minutes. The waitstaff was not attentive at all. We finally sat at a table and waited another 10 minutes for someone to come by and take our drink order. At that point we already knew what we wanted to eat so we threw him off by ordering food with our drinks. The chips and salsa were good. Very generous portions of salsa and chips. Our meal came out in about 10 minutes so that was a plus. The food was excellent. We all thoroughly enjoyed what we ordered. The fajitas were fantastic, the casa azul special was very good as well. The quesadillas were excellent too. Food was very hot and fresh. We were all vert happy with our meal. What gave this place only 3 stars was the very slow and inattentive service. I'm currently eating at this establishment. Its a nice day so I chose to sit outside. After the initial chips and salsa, 20mins went by and no one acknowledged me. I grabbed the attention of a random worker and asked if anyone could take my order, he left. Someone else eventually came and asked if I've been served. He didn't introduce himself as my waiter but I still told him my order. He later brought my food out and immediately walked away, almost as if he didn't want me to ask for anything. About 20mins went by, I don't have a steak knife, no extra napkins, salt n pepper etc. As I watch other customers get greeted, served, and treated with great service, I later tried to get the attention of a waiter. I had to yell "excuse me" 3 times fairly loud to get anyone's attention (unfortunately appearing to be the stereotypical "angry sista"). Then the guy who dropped my food off came to my table. I asked if I have a waiter, HE's actually me waiter. I told him I was as important as anyone else here and he has not been accommodating me at all. I've been extremely patient. I literally felt invisible and I'm sitting in the very middle. His service improved, however he never said "you're welcome" for anytime that I said thank you. The food was pretty good.
