I have been here three times now and each time was disappointing. The food is uninspired and bland. Maybe the burgers are alright, but the rest of the menu (in my experience) is a let down. Tonight, I tried the gyro with falafel. It was mostly flavorless save for the onions and tzatziki sauce. Sure, maybe I shouldn't expect good falafel at a sports bar, but I can say the same about basically every other non-burger item I've tried. Also, the service and atmosphere were really disappointing. I get that being a server isn't easy (I did it for years), but my experience tonight was exceptionally poor. I managed to watch an entire half of an NBA game (plus half time) without being asked for another round. Long past are my days of fighting tooth and nail for a bar tender's attention at Brother's - we lost a lot of good soldiers on those battlefields and I'd rather not dredge up the memories. Please just ask me if I want a refill. In terms of the atmosphere, it's loud. Like, really loud. My hearing isn't great and I could barely make out what our server said to my group when she finally come over (deep in the third quarter). When I flagged her attention and asked for my check, she responded in that tone of clearly annoyed and feigned friendliness that makes you feel like you're the one who did something wrong. I realize now that others in my group indicated they wanted their checks, but I couldn't make that out over how loud everything was. (god I sound old) By the end of the meal there approximately 3(?) groups hovering around our table and I heard a server tell some that they could have our table once we left. Also, they use those machines that make you pay your tab directly in front of the server. Servers shouldn't have to make a living on tips, but don't make me give you a bad tip for poor service when you're right in front of me.(Editors note: he caved and still tipped 20% because he is a spineless individual.) The social pressure is probably the reason they use those - I can't imagine the time save is that substantial. For folks like me, (read: spineless) it's a major turn off. Anyways, my experience tonight was disappointing enough to post my first ever/very long-winded google review. I would give one star, but I am reserving one because one time I went here on bingo night and my very loud friend from New York made everyone very mad. And then he won at bingo which made everyone...
Read moreI recently visited this sports bar and wanted to share my experience, as it was quite memorable—for all the wrong reasons.
The food looked appetizing and appealing in presentation, but unfortunately, it was extremely salty, to the point of being almost inedible. The drinks, however, were disappointing. The beer I ordered was flat and clearly not fresh—it's obvious they need to clean and maintain their tap lines better to ensure quality. On the bright side, they do offer Pepsi products, which was a plus.
Now, on to a concerning aspect of my visit: I suspect I was drugged while I was there. I noticed feeling unusually disoriented and unwell after consuming my meal and drinks, which was very unsettling. This is a serious issue that should not be taken lightly, and I hope the management addresses safety and security more thoroughly to prevent anything like this from happening to other patrons.
To give you an idea of the cost, three people ordered three burgers and one beer, and the total bill came to around $90. That’s pretty steep, especially given the quality of the food and drinks. Overall, while the atmosphere has potential, the experience was marred by the safety concern and some quality issues. I would advise caution if you plan...
Read moreSolid spot to hang out, especially if you've got a group. They do the basics really well: good food, good drinks, and a cool vibe. I really liked the mix of seating options--they've got booths, long tables, and lounge chairs, so it's super easy to accommodate everyone, which is a win when you're trying to please a crowd. The staff was awesome--friendly, attentive, and just overall nice. Parking isn't terrible either. Street parking can be hit or miss, but there's a garage nearby that's a short walk away, so it's not a big hassle to get there. The downside is the prices--they're a little on the higher side compared to other spots, so I'd say it's worth it if you're with good company or hitting up happy hour for their drink deals. I'd personally come here more for the vibe and the flexibility with group seating than just the food, but it's a solid choice overall. The name is funny... You probably won't be working out as an athlete while you're dining here, but you will be working out your taste buds :-) The xtream arena is right next door so it's very convenient to go to before a sporting event. Would...
