The shop was welcome and inviting to all. We were greeted quickly and our order was taken accurately. I ordered the chili crunch wrap and a brewed coffee, and my daughter ordered a chicken pesto sandwich and a horchata.
My chili crunch wrap was more wrap than chili, or crunch. Tye potatoes were tucked in a small section of the wrap and were pretty dry. There was some egg and something else on the sandwich and the chili was STRONG! Like super spicy! We sat outside and I had to chug the water bottle I brought. Coffee was strong but good. I needed more cream, which they gave me on the side which worked well. My daughter said her chicken pesto sandwich was okay, it was mostly bread with some chicken, pesto, and a smidge of cheese. Her drink was good.
Interestingly, my daughter’s drink was served with a paper straw. Save the planet right? Both sandwiches came in these super heavy duty plastic clamshell boxes that were so massive we had difficulty getting them in the trash. Seems a contradiction to “save the planet” using such heavy duty plastic for dine in food. A simple paper envelope would have been more than appropriate, but we had to suffer with a horrible, decomposing paper straw as our “effort” for a greener future. We were not impressed overall and won’t bother to return as the total for the food was $30- not even close to what...
Read moreBetter Buzz Coffee is one of my favorite coffee spots in town. Parking is convenient with about five street spots right in front, and I’ve never had trouble finding one. Another big plus is how efficient they are. There’s rarely a line, so it’s quick to get in and out if you’re in a rush. If you want to stay longer, there’s plenty of comfortable indoor seating to relax and enjoy the atmosphere.
The food is excellent and well-priced, which is rare for a coffee shop. I highly recommend trying the chili wrap because it’s flavorful, filling, and has just the right amount of spice. Whether you stop by for breakfast, lunch, or a snack, their menu always delivers something satisfying.
When it comes to drinks, Better Buzz truly stands out. Their “Best Drink Ever” is a must-try, and the pumpkin chai with an espresso shot is my personal favorite. It’s the perfect mix of cozy, bold, and energizing flavors.
Customer service is consistently great. The baristas are friendly, attentive, and genuinely seem to enjoy what they do. They always get your order right and make you feel welcome.
Overall, Better Buzz Coffee offers great drinks, delicious food, and a comfortable space with excellent service. Highly...
Read moreI visited San Diego a couple weeks back as I needed a break from life and had never been before. An old friend of mine moved down there a number of years back and he was kind enough to pick us up from the hotel and give us a mini-tour around the SD area. At some point, we wanted coffee and my friend took us to Better Buzz.
Didn't quite know what I wanted, but talked to the girl behind the register about what I normally drink and what I like. With our powers combined, we figured out what I should order which was the honey latte with a quad shot and coconut foam, IIRC. Drinks are ready, we sit at one of the outside tables to chat and I finally took a sip of my coffee. I think I drank half of it within five minutes. It was so damn tasty that I needed to give this girl credit where credit was absolutely due.
So, to my coffee goddess, Savannah...whether or not you remember me and my purple hair...thank you for being a beautiful, kind-hearted soul and an absolute PRO! You turned my uncaffeinated, rambling list of coffee "likes" into a delicious cup of coffee that made a visit with an old friend even better. Keep...
