Beautiful space, but I think they were a little overwhelmed and don't have a good process for serving during busy times. The vibe was chaotic amongst the servers. When I entered, there were maybe 3 tables taken outside and several tables inside. I waited a few minutes for a table and two servers did say they'd be with us (another group came in behind me) soon. A server said she'd move some tables for me but disappeared for a few minutes and then another server came up and he seated me at a small table. I was told by the original woman that she'd get me water but again she disappeared for a while. The male server eventually gave me water. I was finished with the menu for another several minutes before the original server came to get my order. I asked for the bread to come out first and for the mint tea. The green tea looked beautiful, but it was over steeped and extremely bitter. The meal came out before the bread and a woman who seemed like the manager (?) approached so I asked for the bread. She came back with it almost immediately. There was supposed to be garlic confit on it but I tasted maybe one part that may have had garlic. The tomato soup that came with it was good. The salad was also pretty and well dressed but had croutons which were very stale and difficult to chew. Someone did come back to refill the tea. The biggest issue I had was that nobody came by to pick up the dishes as I was finished, and nobody followed up throughout the meal (other than the manager upon the initial first couple of bites of salad). I was going to have dessert to go as well but nobody stopped by for over 10 minutes after I had finished, and I even had my credit card sitting on the table. The male server was the only one walking around for a long time and he was giving everyone else their checks. I finally left cash on the table as I had to leave and couldn't get anyone's attention. Really loved the ambience and the thought behind this place and was prepared to drop a good tip (I was a server for a very long time myself), but I think they could use a bit of work in communicating with each other or...
Read moreElizabeth's at the Art Museum is a hidden gem in Corpus Christi, Texas. The restaurant is located within the walls of the iconic Art Museum of South Texas, and the views from the dining room are simply stunning. I went for brunch, and the food was absolutely delicious. The first thing that struck me when I walked into the restaurant was the beautiful view of the Corpus Christi harbor. The windows in the dining room offer panoramic views of the water, and it's a truly breathtaking sight. The staff was incredibly attentive, they welcomed me with a smile and warm greeting immediately upon entering.
The food at Elizabeth's is Mediterranean-inspired, and the menu features a variety of dishes to choose from. We started our meal with the Turkish Coffee, which was rich and flavorful. I also had the Holly Golightly cocktail, which was a refreshing and unique blend of Grey Goose vodka, Suze, yaupon tea honey, and lemon.
For our Mezze, we shared the Bread Board, which is a delicious assortment of house-made chili-lemon focaccia, salted butter, oil & vinegar. We also tried the Devils on Horseback, which are bacon-wrapped dates stuffed with goat cheese and drizzled with honey. Both dishes were absolutely delicious.
For our main courses, my Boyfriend had the Brunch All Day Flat Bread, which is topped with bacon jam, jarlsberg cheese, paprika oil, sunny side eggs, and scallions. I had the Italian Torte, which is a flaky pastry filled with ham, salami, peppers, and provolone cheese. Both dishes were cooked perfectly and were incredibly flavorful. I was particularly impressed by the fact that everything at Elizabeth's is made from scratch to order. The attention to detail was evident in every dish, and it was clear that the chefs take great pride in their work.
Overall, I had a wonderful dining experience at Elizabeth's at the Art Museum. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the views were breathtaking. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a special dining experience in...
Read moreAmazing beyond our expectations. We went there for a date night/birthday dinner after receiving a gift card. From the moment we walked thru the doors we where treated as if we where old friends. The ambiance was amazing with modern yet cozy decorations and an amazing view of the bay. We where seated immediately and recieved our drinks very quickly. We ordered several appetizers as our meal as we felt this would give us the best over idea of the food. Every bite of every plate transported our taste buds to exotic locales around the world. Seared peppers in a delicious slightly sweet and smokey sauce. Delicious hummus with naan like a pillow. The absolute best Brussel sprouts I've ever eaten anywhere. I'll be telling people about these brussel sprouts for the rest of my life. The service was masterfully tailored to us and our needs. As if we where the only people in the room, despite it being fairly busy. Thank you for wonderful evening we shall not...
