Grimaldi's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Corpus Christi

This review is based solely on my experience and personal opinion.

We went to Grimaldi's Pizzeria in Corpus Christy on Sunday night, 7/25/21.

FOOD: we ordered one big Pizza Margherita and two small Salads. We were pleasantly surprised to have such a lovely and flavorful dinner. They truly made our day. here is what we ordered..... Margherita Pizza = so far the best Margherita Pizza I have ever had in the States. It's a thin crust pizza, Roman Style, with fresh Mozzarella made by them. The crust is a bread like crust, nice and crispy and with overall very good balanced flavor. The Ingredients are very good and you can taste it. I loved their Mozzarella and the Tomato sauce they used on top. It is just like the pizza you would get in Rome, Italy..... in one of the small pizzerias around the city.

Small Grimaldi's salad (house salad) = fresh ingredients and good flavor.

small Mediterranean salad = fresh ingredients that you can taste and a good balanced flavor.

Iced Tea = just plain unsweetened ice tea.

STAFF: our waitress Lillian I believe, was very nice, friendly, smiley and she gave us some good and friendly advices and suggestions on they food that is on the Menu (we told it was our first time there and she made our experience very pleasant). The other girls were a little bit dry and too serious.

PLACE = the inside of the restaurant does not look that nice, has the look of a sports BAR more than a Pizzeria. but it was clean. The floor is old and run down as well as the general look of the restaurant. The outside patio, where we had dinner, was nice but messy and dirty and that's why the 4 stars. when we got there some of the tables still had the stuff from the previous dinner and the floor was dirty. not wiped nor mopped. They also have a BAR and you can sit outside if you want. nice.

RESTROOMS: clean and with a lovely fragrance.

LOCATION: halfway between downtown Corpus Christy and Padre Island.

CONCLUSION: We will definitely go to Grimaldi's Pizza again when we get back to...

This Grimaldi's is actually connected to La Palmera Mall in Corpus Christi, Texas. Parking is somewhat hard to find but luckily just a few feet away you can actually pay $5 to have your vehicle parked by valet during mall hours however some nights the restaurant is open until 10 pm. One other thing I want to add until I jump into the review of the food and all that other good stuff is that between 3pm and 4 pm they will not have pizza available on the menu as I have showed up multiple times during that time slot and I have been told that is a time slot alloted for the cleaning of their brick oven which bakes pizzas. Now on to the food...it's absolutely delicious. I have never once had an issue in this restaurant with food, cleanliness, or waitstaff. I also would like to attribute that the reason that everything being so delicious and running so smoothly is the manager of the restaurant always being on top of things here. I have seen her business cards up front and I believe her to be a Mrs. Robert? The pizza is crispy and toppings to sauce ratio is perfect and they have the freshest ingredients, the sodas are always always crisp and you can always order an alcoholic beverages such as beer or glass of wine or wine by the bottle, salads are always so delicious and generous. The waitstaff always seem so friendly and never seem stressed or rushed no matter how busy the restaurant. The restaurant is always clean and so are the facilities. Another plus is that there is an area for outdoor dining and an outdoor bar section. I absolutely love everything about this restaurant, it is a great family place, a great place to dine with friends, and even a great date night restaurant. Highly recommend and I am only sorry that my I am not able to attach photos just yet but definitely...

This place is the worst place I've ever picked up orders from...the bar back lil girl has the worst attitude to every single person that walks up if they are not someone she knows and her face is always either mad or talking with sarcasm n never once looks at me or anyone else in the eyes yet has a smirk cuz she knows she's being rude and disrespectful...I was told the order would be a couple mins...30 min later someone else tells me an hr and a half...mind u y'all aren't suppose to push the button for a delivery driver to show up unless it's already done...I then try to ask her something yet couldn't even get one word out and she started giving me attitude and raising her voice at me and tells me she can get the manager if I wanted which I never asked for one all while throwing her hand up in my face and walking away and told the manager to handle me...I even told her "a manager for what it ain't that serious I'm trying to ask u question and she intended to yell and start an argument by herself...I've never felt so embarrassed with so much anger walking away thinking she is very lucky the bar was between us...I'm not one to ever get out of character but that girl right there should not be working there or be at the bar like that...when I turned to walk off everyone was looking at us and freaking out on how she was acting and looking at me like why didn't I do anything...when I tell u this girl had me angry I was furious...I sat in my car convincing myself it's not with going back to do something to her...not cool at all I hope Grimaldi's does something about this cuz its very...
