Pre-ordered on the way into town, 20 minutes after opening and they were already out of cobbler. Should be a good sign. Disappointing for us, because we were looking forward to it. This place seems to have more good reviews than bad, but we are traveling Texas and trying out the BBQ everywhere we go. This just wasn’t in the top.
Got 2 2-meat plates (brisket, spare ribs, sausage), and a chopped brisket sandwich. There were 2.5 small slices of brisket on both plates (they were supposed to be marbled, but there was more of a clump of fat at the end of the piece instead of marbling), half a link of regular sausage, and 2 extremely small ribs with very little meat on them. The brisket on the plates was decent, but lacked flavor, the sausage was pretty good though. The brisket sandwich was dripping in bbq sauce that was really acidic and kind of had that fake smoke taste to it, like too much liquid smoke was added or something.
The best tasting side was the beans, but even they were overly sweet. We also had potato salad and coleslaw. Overall, it wasn’t a great experience. Possibly because of the COVID stuff, but we didn’t even eat there. Maybe it doesn’t travel well.
Edit after response: It definitely came from your store. I know that for a fact. I ordered and drove there for pickup. I don't know why I would make something up, but assuming that someone is making something up (without saying/typing it out), is kind of frustrating. As I stated in my review, we have been getting BBQ from all over. When I called, I was told the cobbler was sold out. Maybe the person answering the phone didn't realize "you never run out", I wrote what I was told. I can't help what I received, but maybe don't assume something unless you actually ate it. I wrote the review on what was eaten from your restaurant. It's okay for you to not like the review, but don't say I'm lying because you don't like the review of your...

Ate here on a Wednesday afternoon and arrived only a few minutes after ordering. We were informed that it would take a few additional minutes to get our food due to a large catering order they were finishing making. We didn't mind the wait, and it was 100% worth the wait. We also found out that it was the restaurants anniversary for which we understand why they continue to stay around.
When our food was taking longer than the restaurant expected the manager came out and thanked everyone for their patience and promised food to be delivered shortly. It was nice to see such proactivity from a restaurant.
I ordered the two meat plate with brisket and smoked turkey. They had two options for potato salad a traditional version and a Texas version, I decided to try the texas version. I also selected their corn and was pleased to find out that a peach cobbler was included with the price of the meal.
Everyone in my family finished their food and there wasn't a scrap to be found. The brisket was moist but not wet which is our preferred style. The smoked turkey was well seasoned and also maintained some moisture. We were well impressed with the portion sizes of the meat as well as the flavoring. Their in house sauce was also delicious. The most memorable thing we ate however was the Texas Potato salad, which appeared to have some sort of pepper (we assume bell pepper) flakes in it. It was absolutely to die for! We finished it all off with our respective peach cobbler which was a nice added bonus. None of the other 8 BBQ stops we would make included a form of dessert with their 2 meat plates.
While this BBQ was delicious it lands quite comfortably on our #2 spot for the best BBQ in Texas. We will be back and definitely believe it is worth driving out of our...

Close your eyes and picture a bottle - nay, a vessel - of sweet, tangy, smoky barbecue sauce. Visualize the rich mahogany color, the texture as thick as molasses. Now open your eyes and behold this elixir, this encapsulation of summer's bounty, distilled into a condiment so versatile, so nuanced, it brings joy, meaning, and sticky fingers to any meal.
This sauce is alchemy in a bottle. The umami depth of tomatoes mingle with brown sugar's sultry sweetness and smoke's enigmatic allure. Each flavor note melds in harmony yet sings alone, like a choir of angels heralding the arrival of barbecue season. Slather it on juicy ribs, brushed wings, sizzling burgers and even simple fries to see it perform its culinary magic.
But barbecue sauce is more than just a condiment - it is the tie that binds us together around the grill or picnic table. It represents camaraderie on hot summer days, bringing family and friends to break bread and share in the sacrament of smoking meat. Barbecue sauce connects us to our roots, to centuries of slow-cooking over fire, when cooking meat low and slow was a way of life.
So as you reach for that holy bottle of sauce, recognize that you are taking part in an ancient rite. When you pour it slowly over pulled pork, you baptize your meal in the name of flavor. Each bite is communion; each shared moment a sermon on the meaning of summer. Let barbecue sauce remind you that food is connection, community, love. It is the nectar that feeds our bodies and our souls.
