The facility/local was great. The out door seating was fantastic and the play area for kids was a plus. The mediocre rating is because we came expecting a few food cart options. The only one open for lunch on a friday was the Kalamata Bistro. We love Mediterranean food so this wasn't a problem. My husband ordered the lamb gyro, I had the chicken shwarma and the kid got the kid thing. I did not read the description of the food because I was really hungry, have had a lot of experience with shawarma and thought I knew what to expect. What arrived appeared fairly standard. The taste however was quite jarring. I was not prepared for the combination of coconut rice, chimichuri, red pepper hazelnut spread on top of boiled meat. I did not find the fusion to be pleasant and was overall disappointed. The only Mediterranean aspect of my meal was the pita. I feel that using the term shwarma was misleading for what i received. I will be unlikely to go back to common fields because I did not like the food from its only food cart. BUT if you like to sit outside and drink beer, their selection appeared to be generous and the atmosphere...
Read moreCommon Fields is one of the best things to happen to Corvallis. Owners Jacob and Cherish have created an amazing community hub full of goodness. 3 Food carts are set up on the spacious property: Kalamata Bistro, Zia Southwest Cuisine, and Terra's Tastee Treats. The different food carts offer a variety of food genre choices, all of them delicious! The beer selection inside Common Fields is a beer aficionados dream come true. So many taps from local and surrounding areas! They also offer cider and wine. The space is family friendly and fido friendly. During the pandemic they have really gone above and beyond with their properly social distanced outdoor covered and heated seat dining. This place checks all the boxes for a casual place to hang out, having great food options, offering a wide selection of drink options, and overall fun place to hang and visit with friends. Corvallis and Downtown was ripe for a place such as this, and now we have it: go...
Read moreI’ve been here many times. Let me just say, this place is about family! They have given guests so many options for safe outside seating (heated seats, covered spots, fire pits, you get the idea!) then they give you food options: 3 food trucks to choose from (my personal favorite is the fawaffle (think falafel in the shape of a waffle tucked in pita and smothered in kalamata olives, cucumbers.... 🤤). Plus, there’s a kids play area! As for drinks: all of them are $5!!! Cider, beer, wine, hard seltzer, jun & kombucha (non alcoholic) all only $5! Last but not least, they offer game nights and music nights, comedy night, and special tasting nights (bringing in new local craft brews to try!). This place has it all and is kid and dog friendly... it’s more of what we need here! I love common fields! Ps. The staff is amazing and will quickly befriend you. ✌🏽 Pps. Cleanest, nicest...
