I went to this location for the first time today. The cashier made several errors while I was there. I wanted a taco plate, a small burrito, a supreme burrito and a side of chips and salsa (not a complicated order). When reading back my order, he missed one of the burritos I ordered. When reading back the order the second time, he still was missing one of the burritos. I was never told a total for the order and after I paid, my order was about $5 more than what it should’ve been. I asked for an itemized receipt and realized I was charged $14.50 for the taco plate when there was a sign right by the register that was there was a $10 taco plate special. I told the cashier not to worry about it but he clearly didn’t know that was the special for the day. Then when I left I realized we didn’t get our chips and salsa, but I was already nearly home and didn’t want to return to get that missing item (this one is on me, I should’ve looked before leaving!). Never the less, I paid an extra $8 for a missing item and mis marked special. To top of off, there was a short black hair in my burrito (I have long, light brown hair).
I love La Rockita and have had great experiences at the other locations… but I’m not sure I’ll be going back to this...
Read moreThe food here and at the 9th and circle location is below underwhelming!!.The only reason they get three stars is because they really are so dang nice.
We've been here and to the one at 9th and circle, multiple times now. And we really just don't understand how they have such great reviews. Are they paid for? Are all of these great reviews before the pandemic? I don't know, but this here was our 2nd try. Too many times we've waisted our money. They are very nice and the service is always kind but their food is AWFUL...
Their food is bland underseasond or, over salted. Their meat is overcooked while their rice and beans are undercooked or they're old and have no chance of getting tender when cooked. IF you do order a burrito ( we've ordered 5 now ) you might as well order a plain bean and rice burrito ( with undercooked ingredients ) cause that's all they'll be in your burrito anyway... I've never in my life seen a restaurant literally put 1 level tblsp of guacamole, sour cream, and pico on a plate until today.
I hate leaving bad reviews, and I'm not trying to be insulting. But, I need to bring my 10 year old nephew into their kitchen to show them how to make a breakfast burrito. Not even a gas station could screw it up this...
Read moreI adore La Rockita on Circle St, but they were closed today. It is my special treat when I pass through Corvallis. I get a delicious burrito to take home each time, and this time I decide to try a different location, so I could satisfy my fix. What a mistake. They are like night and day. My usual burrito was big, and had all the usual ingredients (except the sour cream), but it was AWFUL. The chicken had a weird texture, I suspect it had been reheated in a microwave. The (too many) onions were barely cooked, there were a few random shreds of wilted lettuce sporadically that appear to have fallen in, the rice was mushy, the meats were tasteless and tough, and it had the tiniest helping of guacamole ever for a giant burrito. No notes on the beans, they were fine. I don’t usually take salsa, as the burrito typically has so much flavor, it’s unnecessary. No sauce in the world could have saved this. I salvaged some meat for my dogs and the rest went in the trash. Never again. I’m going back to the other...
