I keep giving this place a chance but it's failed me every time. I've gotten food there four times.
Most recently I got a cold (like refrigerated) burrito that was wet. I'm pretty sure they gave me a burrito from the previous day that was refrigerated and didn't heat it up. It gave me pretty bad indigestion afterwards.
I got nachos there and they had the canned nacho cheese on them. Not bad, but not really what I expect when I buy nachos at mexican joint, more like what you get a concession stand at a sports venue.
The other two times I got tacos and the meat was dry and ingredients were either totally missing or sparse and flavorless.
Service: The staff are nice or passable but dont seem to know what's going on, they always seem clueless. They don't seem to know what items are popular, what's in them, what's even on their menu etc.
Atmosphere: The interior has confusing menus strewn about with little to no information on them. There's no cohesive singular menu with a list of all their food, at least there wasn't when I have been there. There are several video lottery machines that are basically the focal point of most seats which isn't a big deal but thats about all they have for decor, depressed people gambling.
I'm not sure why people keep giving this place good reviews or if I'm just getting super unlucky but I don't see any appeal to this place. Theres a much better, cleaner, and more relaxing place one block away that has much better food, albeit for a slightly higher price but they don't have a full bar. I'm fairly confident people are just getting really drunk and going here and raving about the food, similar to Riva's. So I guess if you're blackout drunk and want to get one more beer and some bland tacos, go for it, but you should probably add that to...

The food is what you would expect from any good Mexican street food. Meat was tender and green sauce was BEYOND hot.
Our complaint was that my wife and I placed order with a thin male employee outside in the food truck and proceeded to wait for 20 minutes, watching several customers arrive, receive their food and leave as we waited, assuming they had called in their order. The same employee that took our order came out of the truck, looked at me sitting in my car, scoffed, laughed and walked away.
My wife waited 10 more minutes before going to ask about our food and was told they had no record of our order.
We left a generous tip, so he treated us this way either because we are gay or because I was walking with a cane. Take your pick, but we...
Read moreWas excited to try the food. I heard good things and ordered a carne asada burrito with extra meat while waiting. The homeless from next door were begging and fighting, scaring people away from the food truck.
I received my burrito and left. I worked seven minutes away, so I would say my food sat for about ten minutes before eating. The burrito was large sized. The flavor was awesome, but there was so much grease from the meat that had cooled it was like biting into bacon grease I wish I had eaten it hotter or they drained the grease better it would have been more enjoyable. I will try again one day. This was just not the best...
