Lee's Famous Recipe Chicken — Restaurant in Covington

I was just in for lunch, and I wanted some tenders. I usually get a 5 piece tender, mixed famous and spicy. However, I always ask if the spicy tenders are fresh, because they don't sell as quickly as the famous and have been cold before.

I asked this question today and was told "they just came up". Get them home and that is not the case. Famous were warm , spicy were cold. EXACTLY WHY I ASKED THE QUESTION.

Look, if you tell me that the spicy have been sitting and are cold and gross, I'm not going to demand new ones, I'm just going to simply get all famous ones! It really is that simple. Now, you lied to keep from having to make new ones, which I wasn't gong to request, and I've now wasted my money, time and gas.

But at least my dog had a good lunch. I'm as reasonable as it gets, I try to mitigate getting bad food, for instance, if I go to Taco Bell late at night, I ask if the Fiesta Potatoes are old, or would they skip it. I've been told, "I wouldn't eat them" so I kept them off my order. I'm not going to give a bad review if you told me the food was gross; you saved me from wasting my money.

But that didn't...

Worst experience to date. Arrived and stood at the counter for almost 10 minutes and had to address the employees to see if they were even open. Once our order was taken we asked about the bathrooms being open, they said not right now. An employee opened the women’s bathroom and upon going in the toilet still had leftovers from the last person. Absolutely disgusting! The roughly 8 year old boy who took our order forgot the sauces and when we asked for them he tried to charge for them a second time! Once we sat down we tried to have the Bengal game put in and we were told that she could try to have them change it that apparently it plays 24hours behind….which in fact the tv was playing the Live Steelers vs. 49ers game. Lastly I waited at the counter for another 10 minutes for honey packets!! Sunday Funday is for those who don’t work, not to mention just because the shift before you didn’t take care of business doesn’t mean you can treat customers this way!!!

I am truly dissatisfied and disappointed, to start this place has Very very rude customer service and overpriced food. I came in last night 03/26/2023 for a chicken liver meal and was told that items were limited due to them closing also sign clearly stated combos come with a regular sized drink but I was rudely informed that unless you ask for a drink it doesn’t come with one. Finally when I pulled up to the window to checkout I politely asked for a drink where I was told that it would be an up charge (told rudely again might I add). Food was overpriced for the amount I received 4 chicken livers and one side item came up to a total of $12.73. On top of that it wasn’t appetizing at all with it being Luke warm. I really do wish I was able to get the young lady’s name who was working the drive thru tonight, she was very terrible her attitude disgusting more concerned with getting off work and going home. I would never recommend this place to any of my peers and I’d give this location a -5...
