Made reservations two weeks ago and extremely excited to try Noche out. We arrived on time, promptly seated, waitress introduced herself, Peyton. Extremely knowledgeable about everything. Patiently explained the two menus and gave us time to digest it all. Ordered a couple of Old Fashioneds and those were both delicious. Started with the short rib sliders (with the truffle slaw on the side). Those were absolutely phenomenal. Im not a slaw eater but one of our dinner companions ate it all and said it was the best slaw she'd ever tasted. Next was a cesar salad, no issues there, standard cesar salad. Now on to the main dishes. I had the Cacio e Pepe and all we can say is "WOW" that was the best pasta we have ever had (all 4 tried and thisbwas everyone favorite). Added chicken to the dish and the pasta was so good I could hardly eat the chicken, hubby had to finish it for me. Also had Braised Short Rigatoni and this gets another "WOW" rating (Not sure if I've ever reviewed anyother restaurant with a "WOW" rating so will tell you it was over the top!). We were all full but had to try dessert. We had the Blueberry Choclate Chip with bourbon ice cream for dessert. It was very good and we left nothing on our plates. We've waited a long time to find this place and didn't even know it. If you have the chance to go, please do, you will not regret taking the time. Make sure you allow time to find parking. Anytime you go to Covington, parking is always an issue. There is some metered parking on both sides of the restaurant. If those are full there is a paid parking lot one block away, very easy walk to the restaurant. Take your time, enjoy the food and the service was top notch. Thank You Peyton for taking care of our crazy...
Read moreNot sure if we caught them on a bad night or still working out early opening kinks, but didn’t quite live up to hype or expectations. Some positive things to note - the service and staff were phenomenal. Very helpful with insight into the menu and always attentive without being overbearing. Very friendly and enthusiastic
Now the downside: the food. Huge lack of consistency across the board and ultimately left uninspired. We had a party of 4, two with the same dish, other two with different dishes. My entree was cold (to the point I was worried I’d bite into a frozen portion) while another entrees was too hot to attempt to eat. Two dishes of cacio e Pepe with vastly different amounts of seasoning creating totally different experience. Not large portions but no one from our party finished their meal. The best thing we had all night was the sliders appetizer, which were excellent.
Cocktails are pretty basic run for whats available in the area. Old fashioned, martini, margarita. None of the cocktails felt perfectly balanced (some too sweet, some too boozy). Wine selection was good and well priced.
Atmosphere isn’t quite right. Very bright inside which makes the experience feel more big-chain rather than an intimate dining experience. Music was 2015’s pop (Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, etc..) which felt out of place for an Italian and Argentina restaurant. No clear direction about the vibe they’re trying to curate. Overall left wanting more especially for the long reservation waitlist to try and snag a weekend...
Read moreThis place is absolutely horrible. We were going to a concert at Madison theater we went in to get a quick appetizer. I ordered a Washington Apple and the server told me she didn't know what that was and just stared at me like I was stupid. she then came out and said the way that we were dressed we would be okay with just drinking straight tap water correct. We never get out we have a bunch of kids and grandbabies and own businesses and I would never treat my customers this way not even my enemies this way. From the time we walked into the door to the time I got and left we were treated like peasants. Place is rude they're high on themselves don't worry this place will be out of business soon. I'll make sure and tell everybody that this place is absolutely horrible. The server was rude. You would think to keep customers coming back they would be nice regardless of how they're dressed. Sorry we weren't in our normal suits but we're actually going to a concert two buildings away I was just wanting something to eat quick with no judgment. Horrible horrible horrible horrible horrible I would give him zero Stars if I could. If you don't believe me go in also they have no dress code keep that in mind and see how you're treated. Avoid this place...
