Great sandwich, best fries!
I was first introduced to Capriotti's 8 years ago in Las Vegas. I since moved away and my last time getting a sandwich was 4 years ago. I was ecstatic to hear that one opened up near me!
I stopped there this week and everything was great! I got take-out as I was somewhat in a rush, but as soon as I was able to dig in I was so happy! The sandwiches are full of meat and toppings, the bread is delicious and the sauce is great.
If it is your first time going, I would have to recommend my absolute favorite, the Capastrami. Delicious pastrami, coleslaw, Russian dressing and swiss cheese. Nothing not to like! I like to get a little extra dressing but I do like my sandwiches moist!
To my surprise, I HAVE NEW FAVORITE FRIES. The basic naked fries (I cannot speak for the others since I have not tried them yet). They beat out McDonalds, Wendy's, Burger King, Chick-fil-a, you name it. I was suspicious at first but there's something about the ratio of exterior crispiness to interior fluffiness that is delightful. Perfectly salted and fresh.
Thank you to Michael and the rest of the crew that was there!
Unfortunately I was unable to take a photo as I frankly devoured it all...
Read moreThe Bobbie is a delicious and unique sub that’s really needed to stand out amongst other competitors like Jimmy John’s and Jersey Mikes. My only suggestion would be to season the turkey a bit more so it stands out. Turkey is bland by nature, but a little more seasoning will take this hoagie to another level of flavor. I got the “Medium” 11 inch and clearly I don’t know how to eyeball measurements because it was absolutely larger than expected and packed with all the fixings.
I also got the Wagyu cheesesteak fries and they are also unique and delicious. Portion size for the large is very fair for the price. My only suggestion would be to lay a half portion of fries down, then half toppings, and then rinse and repeat for the remainder as the bottom fries end up being pretty bare and there aren’t a ton of juices for them to absorb.
Overall highly recommend for a quick, unique, and delicious lunch/dinner dine in or...
Read moreOverrated and underwhelming. I’d heard some good things about this place, so I stopped by, especially curious about the supposedly amazing tuna hoagie. Walked in with a couple of questions, but the guy behind the counter’s vibe seemed annoyed and uninterested in answering questions like I should have known already —- just wanted me to order and not ask questions. When I asked if they could toast the bread, it was a straight “no.”
As for the food? Total letdown. The tuna hoagie tasted like they cracked open a can, smashed it onto the bread, and served it dry—no mayo, no seasoning, no dressing. Bland doesn’t even cover it. The cheesesteak hoagie was just as forgettable. Safe to say we wont be back.
(Side note: The lettuce in my photo is something I had to add myself because their toppings...
