Tonight's date night at Jimmy Wans will be unforgettable, because we will remember to never come back. Walking in, my husband and I noted the dirty carpets. At the table, the white table cloths were stained. The service is slow, and unnattentive. Our dumplings were warm, wet, and mediocre. We should've revoked our order by the time we received our sushi, because Costco sushi is sublime comparatively. Not to mention, the soy sauce for our sushi was delivered after we'd almost finished. Moreover, it should be punishable by law to serve frozen, thawed and boiled lobster over dry, stale noodles. The seafood dish described a sauce...sauce? There were no herbs, wines or acicidity. One could hardly call it sauce, morelike congealed water. My husband ordered the duck, which he said was lukewarm and after 30 minutes, we're both in a bit of gastro upset. Upon leaving, the management inquired how our meal was, to which we reported: bland, lukewarm, and not worth our return. He offered and apopology, "sorry, I'll let the chef know." Ramsey would have a heyday here, and likely shut the kitchen down. Do yourself a favor, and go anywhere but here. I'm almost willing to bet your local takeout join is 10X better than this.

Overpriced low quality Sushi Cranberry Township has multiple Sushi restaurants and this is easily tied with Saga for the worst sushi. Saga at least has reasonable prices. I’ve had sushi all over the world and when I realized Jimmy Wans offered it I wanted to give it a try. My first impression was that the restaurant itself is very nice. The decor is really fitting. The menu prices caught me off guard for Japanese. Typically Japanese good pricing is pretty typical but Jimmy Wans items were 20-30% more. I don’t have any issue with that if the food is representative of the price. This however was not the case. I decided to get the sushi sampler. Typically $22-28 was $32. I assumed Miso soup and Ginger salad came with it per the norm but nothing came with it in fact. A little disappointing but if the sushi is good I’m fine with it. The sushi came out and was incredibly disappointing. It lacked in freshness and flavor. The tuna was cut rough and the salmon was cut thin. Some pieces had a warmer temp than expected as well. I can’t speak to everything Jimmy Wan’s has to offer because there’s no chance I would ever go back there. My wife claimed her food was ok at best.

We got seated but wasn't waited on for probably almost 10 minutes. The hostess who seated us ended up taking our order. The shrimp dumplings and egg roll was pretty good. We had shrimp tempura roll and a spider roll. Both of them were really dry no flavor. The rice seem like it was cooked yesterday because it was cold and it didn't seem to have any flavor but it was really dry like almost al dente. We have been here before and had the Chinese and it wasn't really good I think it was the General Tso Chicken it seemed to be dried out as well and thought that maybe they'd be better with sushi. I was wrong. We did have one dish in the past that was a bad and it was a shrimp udon soup. We ended up going back with a gift card they gave us and got shrimp dumplings and aloha roll and it was much better this time.

Prior to the issues in 2023 with health code violations, my family and I would travel an hour and a half to eat at this restaurant. As we were in the area, we decided to try Jimmy Wan’s once again. Though we had three to-go orders, we did not expect the food to be as bad as it was. We first started out with the Cold Sesame Noodles, the BBQ Bao Buns, as well as a couple of other things and came to the conclusion that everything was just okay. However, what stood out was the blandness of the noodles, as they seemed to have more water than sauce on them. Multiple entrees were ordered including; Mongolian Beef, General Tso’s ChIcken, and sushi platters. For two different orders of the Mongolian Beef, both determined it was salty, but with minimal flavor and the meat was very chewy. The General Tso’s chicken tasted more of vinegar than anything else, with zero spice. All who received rice as a side stated that both kinds (brown and white) were dry. As for the sushi platter, the fish didn’t taste fresh. The spicy tuna roll had solely tuna within it and no spice (or flavor). The rice as well for the sushi was very bland. As a big family, it is hard for us to accommodate such a large crowd as well as everyone to be pleased with their meal. For clarification, the service was okay and we still tipped adequate gratuity. Prior to this visit, Jimmy Wan’s was a place we’d enjoy as a family. However, after this and a hefty bill, we are sad to say we will not...

I agree with another reviewer here. This place's food has gone down hill unfortunately. This was probably our favorite place to eat and we have been coming here for years. I normally get the General Tso's chicken with white meat and before the change it used to be almost all chicken with just a little bit of breading - so delicious! Sadly though, the last few times I've had it here (several times in the last half year or so) the chicken is now barely there and the majority of each piece is all breading. There is now more breading than chicken. This is very discouraging as we've always enjoyed it here and knew that this place was a cut above the rest. Not so much anymore. Of course the prices are still premium which we wouldn't mind paying if the food was as good as it has been in past years. If you must raise the prices in order to keep the quality the same we would rather see that than keeping the prices the same but cheapening the product. Maybe those who haven't dined here in the past few years won't notice the nose dive in quality here, but those of us who have dined here for years would be crazy not to notice the negative changes in their food. I really hope they go back to the way they used to be because we would like to continue dining here in the future, but if we keep having to pay premium prices for hardly anything but fried breading we will have to find another quality place since we can get that garbage much cheaper at...

Disappointed in the service when seating. We were told the bar was first come first serve, mind you we already called and made reservations stating that we would rather sit at the bar if it was available. When we sat at a table that had just left, we were then told that the manager had the table reserved for someone (actually he had reserved 2 tables), then when we asked how it was reserved, the manager had major attitude. We ended up sitting in the dining room where it took over 35 minutes to get our first drinks. Service was extremely slow, the food was edible but nothing amazing. Our waitress was very sweet however I was already turned off by how the manager handled the bar table situation. At this time, customer service means a lot, I will not be returning to this location.

in reply to the owner - customer service goes a long way in these times as well. Had we been told there was a queue we could get in for the bar table, we would have gladly asked to be placed on that. We were told, by staff, that the bar was first come first serve when we made the reservation and if a table came available in the bar we could cancel our dining room reservation. I understand being understaffed and busy however had you been nice when we asked why it wasn't first come first serve for everyone at the bar, we would not have had a problem. I hope you have a better day than you did...
