Today I had a sandwich and it was excellent. It was a little busy when I came in, but the team handled it very well. I also chose to grab a cookie wrapped nicely from the table in front of the counter. When I opened it at my table, it had nuts in it. I fully acknowledge that loafers puts nuts in multiple items on their menu, however, there was not something indicating that this particular cookie had nuts in it. (Even a colored sticker or anything on the cookie itself and I could not see them through the plastic wrap) I could care less about the cookie. My husband will eat it. What I care about is the attitude the young man gave me when I mentioned it to the woman behind the counter. She was very polite. He said they had a sign out saying that they had nuts. I said I did not see it. He came out from behind the counter and found a sign on the other side of a table that mentioned nuts. Instead of an apology or even just listening to me, he wanted to prove me wrong. He also proceeded to poignantly place the sign with the cookies and look at me. Like I said, I don't care about the cookie itself. I am dissatisfied with the attitude the young man gave me and the fact that he wanted to prove me wrong instead of help. I also work in customer service and fully acknowledge that I was wrong, there was a sign SOMEWHERE on the table. I just cannot understand why he had...
Read moreI truly love this place but I came about 25 min before closing. I ordered a half sandwich and cup of soup. After the sandwich was made I was told the soup would have to be to go because it was already taken off the heat and wasn't safe to eat. Ugh so my dinner was a sad half sandwich. I left hungry. Keep your soup.on to closing or heat it up for your customers.
It's nice that they care about food safety BUT I watched the gal asking my food grab a dishcloth, wipe her apron with it, and then wipe her hair before touching my food. Just disappointed.
Edit - came back today and got sandwiches. Had a better experience but sandwiches had a sad amount of meat on them so all I tasted was bread. What happened, Loafers? You used to load...
Read moreRandomly found this stop on Google maps as I was looking for a lunch spot. Stopped in around 1pm, just after the lunch rush. You could follow your nose to this bakery, as the smell of fresh bread wafted from the front door. Next to the register was a cutting counter where they are generous with handing out bread samples. You can't buy the bread in anything less than a whole loaf, but its so good I'm not sure why you would want to. I tried a little bit of every loaf on the cutting counter, and was hard pressed to make a decision. I ended up going with the Challah bread, very wide in its braids, pillowy soft, slightly sweet. You can eat it plane, but it also makes phenomenal French toast. I will be going back for...
