I want to bring attention to an extremely unsatisfactory customer service encounter that occurred on 11/11/23. Our experience unfolded during breakfast hours at 10:00 am. Upon approaching the establishment, we were directed to the drive-thru by an employee smoking a cigarette at the entrance because the lobby was supposedly closed.
We adhered to this instruction and reached the speaker box by 10:29 am due to the slow service provided to the three cars in front of us. However, at that point, we were informed, after being told to wait to place our order, waiting over 6-minutes, that breakfast service had concluded since it was past 10:30 am. Despite expressing that we had been in line and had arrived to place our order before the cutoff, the Assistant Manager on duty callously suggested that we “will just have to show up earlier next time”.
I understand that breakfast does end at 10:30 to give the establishment time to prepare for the lunch rush, but it appears that the restaurant had shut down breakfast earlier and was unwilling to serve any additional clients.
This lack of professionalism and disregard for customers is disheartening. When inquiring about escalating the matter to corporate, we were bluntly told there was no recourse. The Assistant Manager failed to extend any apology and displayed a concerning lack of leadership skills. This entire encounter was not only unapologetic but also exceptionally disrespectful.
I would like to see a Change in Leadership at this establishment and for accountability to be held...
Read moreThe system says I visited this Wendy's a couple of weeks ago.... must have driven through the parking lot as a short cut to a better place to eat!! I don't eat at Wendy's anymore, maybe I've just outgrown their mediocre choices or just not willing to accept their bland tasting food and unremarkable menu choices. I'd worked at the Wendy's Cumberland Mall location, just north of Atlanta, as their sole morning prep guy and then I'd cook until the lunch rush was over while in college in the '70s. I had suggested to the area manager to diversify the cheese and bun selections. Add different size options for the Frosty, and go to fresh fries instead of frozen! Thinking that the "always fresh beef, never frozen" should be carried into the entire menu! They did give the better bun a run, but it ate too much profit and the sandwich makers would grab the wrong bun as they tried to get a head-start by listening to the customer as they ordered and would make the burger wrong... it was a mess. Just needed better training and have the cashier ask for the bun choice first.... simple!!!! What happened? They offered a full range of sizes of the Frosty to include the other size cups they already used for drinks. So much possibly.... now Wendy's is way down the list of burger joints after places like 5-Guys and Culver's have taken their market share out of the burger business!! What...
Read moreIn April, I ordered in store pick up. The meal was prepared when we got there- we tried to get into the store to pick up our food, only to find out the doors were locked (this was well before closing time- hours on the door indicated the dining room was open). We called the store, and were told that they were not doing pick up orders in store, we’d have to use the drive thru (even though our food was already done). We sat in the drive thru line for 30-40 minutes (while our food sat, getting cold) at the pick up window. We had to talk to 3 different people before they realized we were there for food that was already made nearly 40 minutes prior. When we finally got our food, it was cold (except the frosty/ that was melted). I’ve been trying to get a refund for this order since April; it is now July. Terrible experience- I have not been back since and do not plan on returning to this location. I do not understand how it can be this hard to get a refund. We would have asked to have our food remade, but we didn’t want to wait another hour in the drive thru. I don’t usually write bad reviews, but i literally have no idea how else to get the attention of the store owners to start a...
