I needed tacos after I finished shopping at the Trader Joes by the Westfield Mall Culver City. They have a 4.6 rating and was less than a mile away so great. I ordered 2 make your own tacos. One was carne asada for an extra $2 I think and the other was birria. Guacamole was $3.45 and cojita cheese was another extra charge. It came with rice and beans. Total for two normal sizes tacos was $25. I thought it was a lot but let's see. I follow Google maps to the place which is at the end of a side road I've never seen before. I'll do my best to describe the place because it's interesting. This is not a restaurant. You enter into a warehouse with lockers. I was confused. Luckily there was someone at the counter. She was not interested in helping me but finally warmed up. I get it because people probably come in there all the time like what is this place. She asked my name. Somehow my name got misspelled on the order which is weird bc I ordered online. She said it's not ready yet. No problem. I see a screen that has a sign over it that says "order here". I guess the place is a warehouse with a bunch of "restaurants" in the back. There were seafood options, burger options, Mexican, pizza, etc all with different restaurant names. After about 10 minutes I get a text to go to a certain locker and once there I am sent a link to open the locker. The locker opens and there's my bag of 2 tacos, about 1/4 cup of beans and 1/4 of rice. The $25 price for the two tacos and a tiny bit of rice and beans that I pulled out of a locker was absurd. There is no where to eat there. The overhead is whatever it costs to rent a space in the back of a warehouse. The carne asada was dry but the birria...
Read moreWas trying to get "authentic" and local Mexican food on a trip, and randomly found this location via their website. It wasn't until I drove here that I realized this is a ghost kitchen location for dozens of restaurants under one roof. If you haven't placed an order through a food delivery place and do it yourself on-site, realize the POS terminal touchscreen is really glitchy, and take your time typing on it. You will get your food, while dozens of other people are trying to pick-up food, via the locker delivery system they have. It does work to have someone "hand" you your food. I included pics of the meal I got, which was fine as far as to-go Mexican goes...not fast food, and not "restaurant quality" either. Try it and if you don't like it, there's about 10+ other places you could...
Read moreMexican Burrito and Beyond have an incredible team and service. Right at my work event, we had tenants trying your food and saying how delicious it was which I have to give a big thanks to your chefs and kitchen staff. The other tenants at our campus wanted to call to get menus sent over so they can start using your service ASAP. I must give credit to Lorena who stopped by on the first day to promote your service here at the office. I held on to it then and I appreciate your service, food quality, and presentation. I will be telling people to use your service and a special thank you to Rigo for making the ordering decision easy. I just wish I could give more stars for the...
