DXL Big + Tall — Local services in Culver City

My wife and I recently visited the DXL Big & Tall store in Culver City with a friend who was shopping for her brother—and we were pleasantly surprised by how enjoyable the experience turned out to be.

The sales associates were incredibly helpful, attentive without being pushy, and really knowledgeable about the store's offerings. While we weren’t the ones shopping, I still felt welcomed and appreciated. One of the team members even complimented an accessory I was wearing, which sparked a fun moment and showed how personable the staff is.

At one point, my wife and I needed to use the restroom, and during that time I had a great conversation with the store manager. Somehow we got on the topic of pens and ended up having a full-on discussion about Montblanc—a rare but genuinely enjoyable moment of connection you don’t expect to find in a retail setting.

All in all, even though we weren’t the ones making the purchase, it felt like a great visit. Friendly service, good energy, and an overall positive experience. Would definitely come back if we’re ever in need of big...

I don’t usually write reviews, but I just watched Tim, the excellent manager here, handle a difficult customer well and was moved to write something. This store is wonderful for the big guy like me — they’ve got a wide variety of clothes with good manufacture in big sizes. After I lost nearly my entire wardrobe in the Palisades fire (along with nearly everything else I own, plus my home) I was able to rebuild nearly my entire wardrobe here quickly and at a reasonable price. They’ve got sports, casual, suits, shoes, basically everything.

I used to shop at Rochester Big and Tall, their upscale cousin in Beverly Hills. When that closed down about a decade ago, I started shopping here and haven’t been disappointed — and it’s more affordable! Tim, who used to work there, came down to this location and is the manager here. He’s fantastic, with an intuitive sense for the clothes and a great way with clients. He’s also almost always in shop. Claudia, the sales clerk was Great! She greeted us as we arrived, but left us alone and only asked us politely if we needed help. My husband hates it when anyone asks him if he needs help. He was on a mission, and found the white dress shirts, but couldn't find one in his size. I approached Claudia and she went to search the stock in the back, but they didn't have it, but offered to order it online for us.

We found two pair of casual dress pants and Claudia helped us at the cashier. She ordered the white dress shirt for us. Standard shipping takes approximately 7- 10 days, but we chose to pay $7.95 to have it sent 2 Day. We paid for the casual dress pants and shirt together. We were in and out within 30 minutes.

Overall the shopping experience was very pleasant for us. There is parking adjacent to the store on the southside of the building. Entrance to the parking lot is from Sepulveda, as you drive southbound. This building is NOT inside the Westfield Culver City shopping mall. It is...
