No longer cash only, they now accept cards. A great change of pace from all of the chain pizza places in the area. A square cut Champ pizza can easily feed 4 people with leftovers for the morning. Wings were also very good. Prices are very fair & reasonable. Service was fast, the last two times we ordered the pizza was ready in under 15 minutes. Staff was friendly. I'd consider this a must visit location when you're staying in Cumberland.

I've never had any issues with Hartleys, until last night. I specifically asked for Extra hot , extra crispy and extra sauce wings and this is what I received. Not what I asked for at all.

I call back and ask for a refund. And was denied, Was trying something new and this is what I got. I do enjoy the buffaloes pizza.

Long post worth the read in regards to local long time business. So I have never been treated so horrid by a local business in my entire 27 years in Cumberland. I ordered a pizza from Hartley's in cumberland and they were busy and gave a 30 minute wait time..no problem. Had to do some other things prior to picking up my pie. I get there after 30+ minutes, pay and wait 10 minutes then I hear the cashier talking to an older female, they made my pizza with the incorrect toppings. So the female said nothing, gave me no further wait time and placed the wrong pizza on the warming rack. I see behind the counter, that they are remaking my pizza. I wait an additional 30 minutes with my wife and 10 month old baby in the car and finally the cashier brings me the pizza. He said NOTHING, no sorry, NOTHING. So I ask him if I may have a discount for the added wait and inconvience or the extra pizza that was made incorrectly? The cashier told me to speak to the female, I ask the female rather I can have the extra pie or a small discount, she replayed "NO". I asked again, "but ma'am you made me wait extra time and I think you should correct your admitted mistake, please." She then began to raise her voice telling me not a chance and began insulting me, telling me I wasn't getting any FREE food here! I still kept asking only for a discount OR the extra pizza without losing my cool. I explained that I felt the below average service should be addressed in some manner...she wouldn't budge! I then asked that I get my refund if they weren't willing to correct the issue in a professional manner. She flung open the cash register and threw my money at me, ontop the pizza I no longer wanted. Before I had the time to pick the money off the pizza box she yanked the pizza off the counter flinging my money on the counter and floor. She screamed for me to NEVER come back again. This female was the owner of Hartley's, I was in utter shock. I told the female to have a very nice day and left. I proceeded down the street a little heartbroken, grew up on Hartley's and I really love to support the little guys. I still needed dinner so I order two pies from Papa Johns and waited 15 minutes, upon paying I shared how I was treated by Hartley's with the cashier at Papa John's and he expressed how sorry he was and provided a 50% discount off my entire order! How much more awesome could a business get? I got an incorrect order from Papa John's one time, I called and they told me to come down for the correct pie. I drove down and tried giving them the incorrect pie in exchange, they refused and told me to please take the incorrect pie and the corrected pie. They also gave me a 100% refund without me asking. Papa Johns accepted their mistake in the past and not only did they treat me as a valued customer they OVER compensated my time and gas money. KUDOS to you Papa Johns of Cumberland and Shame on you Hartley's and it's owner who couldn't be less business minded. Papa Johns not only accepted their mistake in the past BETTER than could be expected but gave me the sorry I didn't receive from Hartley's tonight and showed me that my business is apperciated, valued and welcome. Thank you PJ's! Hartley's I'm very saddened that you treated a lifetime customer and his family in such a dispicable manner

A favorite local pizza restaurant. I lived in the area for several years bemoaning how it was impossible to find a local pizza place with something that made it worth going back. I had heard of Hartley's but dismissed them figuring it was another place where people who didn't know what good pizza was supposed to taste like would go. I finally broke down and ordered one day after looking at local pizza shops, and wanting anything that wasn't a national chains weak offering. It was ready in a very short time which made me slightly nervous but when I got home all of the skepticism was immediately squashed with the first bite. I couldn't believe what I was tasting and proceeded to eat about 1/2 of that XL pizza. Everything tasted right and unique. Nothing tasted like it was mass produced and the crust and sauce were very impressive. I had given up and accepted the fact that aside from going to a major metropolitan area and rolling the dice. Qr returning back to the mostly Italian city I spent my first 23ish years in that pizza would simply be something to eat but not to enjoy. Having come from a place where you could go to literally at minimum a dozen different places and get a pizza that was nothing short of amazing I thought that was the norm. Cumberland taught me how good we had it back home, but Hartley's was the restaurant that redeemed Cumberland as far as for pizza in my mind. Aside from the food the staff has always been super friendly and helpful. I've always been treated with respect and been made to feel valued as a customer. If I had any criticism it would be that I still get turned around going there but that is not their fault. The other caveat is they don't take credit cards and even though I know that, I still find myself getting there to turn around and run through an ATM. As good as the pizza is though that's a minor inconvenience and has no impact on my thoughts about Hartley's - one of the easiest 5 star...

I will NEVER order from hartleys ever again! There prices have became ridiculous for one. And after tonite nah..i place an order for 3 chicken tender dinners..she read it back to me and then told me my total..when got here I paid there was only 2 dinners..no big deal called them and she said okay which one of the 3 did you not get..again acknowledging it was 3 meals..i told her which one only diffrence in them was the sauces..so she said okay i will have them bring it out to you! About 15 mins later I get a phone call saying how many meals did you order..I said 3 he said okay and you only got 2 i said yes he said well she only charged you for two of them so if you want the 3rd one you have to pay for it!! So after confirming the order several times and she still messed up and didnt charge for the 3rd one i have to pay to have my food bcnof there mess up..and not only that but everything was gross..the chicken tenders was dried out and cooked in old grease the fries was recooked..the rolls was old..and camerons Jojos well i did get a pic of them to show everything else went in trash it was not fit to eat. Lately everytime I order from that place its been disgusting. And they keep raising there prices..They better do something diffrent or they wont be open much longer. And to charge a 5$ delivery fee..I used to love there food all of it but now they suck!! Im glad i didnt have the one they didnt bring delivered bc it wasnt worth it. Id rather eat a can of spaghetti os for dinner than...
