As a former employee, don't buy anything from here. These people don't care about food safety. Their cooler table that holds condiments, lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese, does not work. They found a solution of using ice to keep it cool, but they don't replace the ice through out the day, so these things are sitting there in warm temperatures practically all day. That thing constantly breaks.
There was a time when the walk in cooler broke and was not keeping temp. The health inspectors discovered it. We were instructed to throw everything out and to get it fixed. Instead of throwing everything out, they just moved out the product, including meat, to another store and then put it back when the walk in cooler was fixed and served it to customers. These are things that have been outside of the safe temp zone for hours. The walk in cooler constantly breaks, so this isn't a one time thing.
Not to mention that this store does not follow proper hold procedures, so you better hope that the chicken and meat is selling fast because otherwise you will get chicken that is sitting there for hours and meat that is dryer than the Sahara desert.
If you think drinks are safe, you have another thing coming. The nozzle that shoots out drinks is rarely ever cleaned. So I hope you enjoy drinking out of a nozzle that has weeks or months worth of goo on it.
Nobody washes their hands, apparently putting on gloves is enough protection from germs and if you're lucky, they will change their gloves between tasks.
Also, if you are wondering why your order is taking so long, it's because people don't feel like it. They play around on their phone or walk away from their position to play around. Literally seen people sit on the counter and play on there phones while being the sight of a customer in his car waiting for food. And yes, they don't change gloves between touching their phone and work.
I could go on, but you get my point. I'm not making this stuff up. I'm writing this because I don't want some elderly person to die from food poisoning because this place to take the minimal effort to follow proper food...

At the window, she (black woman with faded red long fake hair) handed me two cokes and no straws while I waited for the rest of my order. I thought it had a red tinge to it, so I took a sip, and it turned out to be Cherry Cokes. Yuck. I was handed the rest of my order and told her that I didn't order Cherry Cokes, and she replied that they are out of regular Coke. I asked to speak with the manager (middle-aged black man), and he came over from the register. Wouldn't give me his name. I asked him why his staff thinks it's right to give me a different drink without informing me of it or asking if I want something different. His answer was that he just got there and didn't know what's going on. I told him my problem again and his answer was "What do you want?" I told him that this wasn't acceptable, and I had a fairly big order. His response was (and it was recorded on my dash cam) "Why do you people even come here? Don't come here nomore! " You people? As in a white woman? Or woman in general? Does that mean that a black customer wouldn't have an issue with an order change without being informed about said change until you discover it at home? Once at home and getting ready to eat, I discovered that our order was hours old, the buns hard, and broke off into pieces when held. The tomatoes were mush, and everything was stale. The fries were overcooked and hard dried out pieces. I will not return to Wendy's on Howe Ave. The staff needs to be replaced with people who are nice and value customers. And if they don't want certain customers, then make it clear right from the start. Until that day, I had no issues with other races, genders, etc. Having moved here in May 23, I am disappointed at the treatment I've been getting at some places that are primarily staffed by other races...
Read moreWow. The person making your sandwiches must be dumber than a bag of bricks. How do you knowingly server cold food? Old and over cooked? They clearly have eyes but lack of common sense. If you wouldn't eat it yourself than why would you serve it?? Wendy's food is over priced anyway, portion sizes have gone down. I'd at least hope to have hot food. Had I not been in a hurry, I would have probably went inside and thrown it on the counter. My spicy chicken bun was cold. I added cheese to it, the food was so cold the cheese didn't even melt. My chicken was over cooked and cold, like jerky texture. You couldn't even bite into it. And one piece of bacon on a jr. Bacon? I'm not even sure I got that. I got a few tiny broken pieces. Wendy's....I get you had to raise prices due to rising cost, but your jr. Bacon is highly over priced for what it is. It's not even worth the .99 you use to charge. Remember that slogan "where's the beef?" You need to bring that back. It fits perfectly....I got lost in the bun trying to find that poop stain you call a patty. I worked for this company many years ago as a manager. We help high standards then And you had good food. But the quality and service has gone down hill. I know what your food should taste like and I know what it's not. I have tried a few locations and highly disappointed every time. So this is officially my last time. I don't mind paying for my food, but I'd like it to be fresh! And the people you have working there are mindless zombies. Just horrible!!!! You hire anything that breathes and it shows. You're right there with McDonald's. ...
