I had such high expectations... I've followed your social media pages for quite some time and have been so excited to finally try it out! My son sang your praises! Man.... what a disappointment. I visited Cane Rosso around lunchtime on a Thursday. I figured it'd be packed and busy. It wasn't. We were seated immediately. The server, Amanda, came over and asked for our drink order. My sister and I were reviewing the alcoholic beverages and asked for a glass of water for the time being. I asked 1st, then my sister, and finally my son. I don't know what Amanda's problem was with us ordering water, but it seemed to have set her off... My son didn't even finish saying the word "water" when Amanda cut him off and said, "OK! Uh, I got it.... 3 waters..." Then stormed off. The 3 of us were confused at her attitude towards us. We hadn't had more than a 10-second conversation with her. She came back with our 3 waters. My sister and I then ordered our alcoholic beverages. But, I wasn't quite ready to order food as I was still reviewing the menu. There are so many delicious options! Amanda asked my son and sister what they wanted. They ordered. Which literally took all of 30 seconds. When she came to me, I obviously wasn't ready. In my opinion, she shouldn't have begun taking orders until we were all ready. I asked for a minute. Amanda huffed and said she'd be back. I swear, we were all just so confused as to why she was being so short and rude to us. She didn't return for at least another 10 minutes. The place was dead, y'all.... There were 2 other tables being served. It felt as if Amanda was punishing me for not being ready to order. She walked by our table multiple times over and over. Even made eye contact, then walked away. When I was given the opportunity to order, I said, "I think I'm just going to get almost the same as her, (my sister)" Before I even finished saying I wanted the house salad, she cut me off and said, "with tots... got it." No.... that's not what I wanted, but she wouldn't even let me talk. Amanda was so incredibly rude and very impatient with us. I took a deep breath because I was so close to losing my cool with her and asking her what the problem was... Then I asked if I could get the house salad with the house dressing. When our food arrived, my son was super pleased with his Margherita pizza and the rosemary tots. Delicious! My sister and I both loved our salads as well. She had a Ceasar salad. Both were made with fresh ingredients and had this awesome parmesan crumb topping. The dressing was also "on point!" Unfortunately, both my sister's chicken parmesan sandwich and mine were very, very dry. The sauce on the sandwich was delicious, but the chicken breast were just way too thin and extremely dry. Almost as if they'd been sitting under a heating lamp for some time. My son wanted to order a pizza to go, and of course, that bothered Amanda, unfortunately. We were all afraid to even ask for to go boxes in fear she'd cop an attitude about it... I most likely won't go back to Cane Rosso to give it another try. I'm sure all the other food is great, but nobody wants to go somewhere they don't feel welcome. Even after all was said and done, I still did the right thing and gave Amanda her full 20% tip. I understand people have their bad days. Just maybe don't take it out on your customers in the future. Oh! And the drinks..... YESSSSS! SO GOOD!
Update: Spoke with Manager Hunter. He made things right. He truly values his customers...
Read more5 stars. Cane Rosso delivered a strong experience from start to finish. The Cast Iron Spinach Dip arrived sizzling. The cheese settled into a smooth, thick texture that held to each bite. The spinach stayed fresh-tasting and didn’t get lost under the cheese. The seasoning stayed balanced. No bitterness. The toasted bread held its crunch and didn’t go soggy. You taste quality ingredients and intention in every scoop. The Fried Nuggz came out with a clean, crisp exterior. The breading kept flavor without feeling heavy. The chicken stayed tender and moist. No grease pooling on the plate. Each piece tasted consistent. The portion size made sense for sharing. It works as an opener or something to snack on while waiting on the main. The Billy Ray Valentine stood out. The crust stayed light with a defined bite. No dough collapse. The toppings sat evenly across each slice. The heat level blended into the flavor instead of overpowering it. Each ingredient tasted distinct. The sauce carried depth without turning sweet. The cheese melted smoothly and held without separating. You feel the recipe has been tested and refined. Service stayed steady and attentive. Drinks never ran empty. Staff offered clear recommendations without pushing add-ons. The pacing of the meal stayed even. The dining room held a relaxed tone with enough energy to feel inviting. The menu gives you multiple strong choices. You can explore different flavor profiles without guessing. Nothing felt rushed or thrown together. Every plate arrived with intention and detail. I will return. I will order the same...
Read moreCame with a few other friends for brunch. Perfect Brunch spots are hard to come by. The main things we look for as a group are drink specials, atmosphere, and food. If all those three things are on point, nothing else matters. Not even the mediocre service we received here.
$2 mimosas is definitely eye catching and appealing. And at that price, we weren't expecting the best mimosas. But these things were 85% orange juice. We bought like 6 carafes for our party of 5. None of them bubbled which is probably why we weren't feeling that classic brunch bubbly feeling until our 5th carafe.
The service was less than. This poor waitress was working by herself the entire time. But it wasn't busy at all. 70% of the tables were empty. Yet it took them 20 minutes just to bring 2 empty glasses for our late arriving guests.
I'll leave out my interpretation of the atmosphere simply because there wasn't any. Kind of bleak tbh.
The food is probably the only good thing was the food. Chicken and waffles was delicious. Waffles were perfect and the bacon bits were flavorful. The Josh's big biscuit was also delicious. The aioli really made the entire dish.
The only reason why I would ever come back is if I was joining a group of friends who were already planning on coming here. This wouldn't be my...
