Captain D's — Restaurant in Dallas

I ordered a couple of classic combos for takeout after after not eating Captain D's since the mid 90's. From the moment I walked in the door, the employees were very polite and courteous while taking their job seriously and respecting their work and customers. The young man who took my order also displayed good communication skills. He even took the time to show me the contents of my order before placing it in the bag and sending me on my way, which was very much appreciated. The food was at least as good as I'd hoped it would be. I was pleasantly surprised, and I'm already looking forward to trying some of their other items in the near future. However, as with everything these days, the prices weren't exactly cheap. One extra piece of fried fish shouldn't cost nearly $3. Unfortunately, he forgot to include cocktail sauce with the rest of my sauces immediately after I'd requested them. However, since everything else was quite good, I'll overlook that mistake this time. I definitely won't forget this experience, and I'll probably recommend this place to others. I wish there were more of these around, and I wish all fastfood restaurants were more like this. I'll definitely choose this Captain D's over Long John Silver's! Good food, great service, mediocre prices. 4/5...

FLIE LARVAE ALERT*I usually go here to this location since its the closets one around when in in that area. However had the worst experience 10/01/2018 I ordered the white fish &grilled shrimp skewer plate with broccoli and fried okra...GUESS WHAT MY BROCCOLI had and i didnt see up until me and my children had almost consumed all the food anyway! So disgusting I wanted to vomit. Took pictures too and it wasnt rice rice doesnt have the little ridges and kindda like skin on the outer layer or black head like this one did it looked like it was even steamed with the broccoli. And it happened at the restaurant not here at home bc it came in a styrofoam little container then also inside my togo stryofoam plate! I called the restaurant and I was actually very polite about it i wanted them to please inform the staff to inspect the broccoli so other customers would be eating what i prob ate i hope i didnt!! The rep was friendly though she offered to refund my money or give me a new order but i was already at home and too disgusted to think of food all i wanted was to wash and brush my teeth over and over again as well as my kids. Worm was pretty big too. So nasty havent been there since and I used to go weekly. Pic is on yelp review couldnt figure out how to upload...

Ok. Updated from a lil over a year ago. 2.26.19 ...... again Used to love this place. District manager was alway great but...... Buying a meal at 9:07pm for 15 and some change, after work a 17 hr shift, an it not be properly cook is not kool. Then if I ate it, and got sick I could almost lose the job of my life! Thanks CD for making me update this. If you have a job, dosen't matter how bad you wanna go home, do your job right. Always. You never know who you could affect. I will come back in a year and let you know again. But that will be my last time.
