TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. WENT TO MAIN BAR AND TOLD THE FEMALE BARTENDER I WANTED TO START A TAB AND HANDED HER MY DEBIT CARD. I TOLD HER TO GIVE ME 2 BEERS. SHE HANDED ME MY 2 BEERS AND GAVE ME MY DEBIT CARD BACK WHICH I THOUGHT WAS WEIRD BECAUSE THEY USUALLY HOLD ON TO IT TIL YOU TAB OUT. ANYWAY I ENDED UP LOSING MY DEBIT CARD SO I WENT TO THE BAR AND TOLD THEM I LOST MY CARD AND I WANTED TO CLOSE MY TAB. I WANTED TO LEAVE A TIP AND THEN I PLANNED TO CALL AND HAVE MY CARD CANCELLED. I SPOKE WITH A TALL WHITE GUY WHO WAS BARTENDING BECAUSE I DIDNT SEE THE GIRL THAT STARTED MY TAB. WELL THE TALL WHITE BARTENDER LOOKS AROUND THE REGISTER AND SAYS "I DONT HAVE YOUR CARD, LOOK AT YOU YOU LOOK DRUNK YOU PROBABLY LOST IT" I STOOD IN SHOCK BECAUSE FIRST I WASNT DRUNK I ONLY HAD THOSE 2 BEERS, SECOND THEY SHOULD NOT BE TALKING TO CUSTOMERS LIKE THAT, THIRD I HAD TOLD HIM ALREADY I HAD LOST MY CARD AND I WANTED TO CLOSE OUT THE TAB. SO I WAS UPSET AND ASKED TO SPEAK TO A MANGER AND HIS SNOTTY REMARK WAS "I DONT KNOW WHERE HE IS, YOU'LL HAVE TO WAIT" SO I WAITED AND NOBODY EVER CAME. I ASKED OTHER EMPLOYEEE'S FOR THE MANAGER AND THEY ALL BLEW ME OFF. I CANCELLED MY CARD AND NEVER GOT TO LEAVE THE FEMALE BAR A TIP. I DONT EVER PLAN ON GOING BACK....
Read morestaff used to be nice. this time the staff was quite rude and didn't use words to explain what they needed. they didn't even use physical cues like children do. bathroom lock was sticky. no mirror. there were only one of those huge, refillable gallon soaps. no pump or dispenser. one big industrial fan that blew minimal air. everyone was actually going towards the direction of the fan rather than getting close to see the band. the new sign at the bar just doesn't look right. it looks like it's meant to be 60s but nothing else matches with it, like they don't have an official logo, or even name for that matter (club dada or dada dallas?) homeless people hanging out in the side alley. not necessarily the venues fault but security could definitely protect that area. the outside porch that connects to a restaurant is very uneven and I would imagine anyone drinking too much would definitely fall and bust a tooth easily. the water provided is sweaty tap. they came in huge unsanitary buckets. no ice because it melted from it being so hot in there. I don't know what happened, it used to be a...
Read moreFreaking adored this place! We came down from Tulsa to see Venjent this past Saturday and the vibe was immaculate! It's a chill, intimate venue in the heart of the Dallas arts district -- basically, a club with the vibe of a dive bar. The patio is amazing: there's a taco stand, a gorgeous colorful mural on the outside wall, colorful lighting, an outdoor stage, and a large deck. It's also the first venue I've been to where we weren't kicked out right when the show was over (although the show did end pretty early in the evening for a Saturday night in that district). It was SO nice to be able to hang out for a while afterwards and come down from a high-energy DNB show. We also got the chance to gift the artist a beaded bracelet, since it was a chill enough environment that even he came out to hang after the show! Honestly, I wish I lived in Dallas just so I go to more events at this place, whether for electronic music or...
