Edit 12/30 It’s 50 mins round trip for me to visit this place. I will not eat soul food anywhere else. I hope they’ll open up more locations in the years to come. Whoever is in that freaking kitchen is the business. Customer service is excellent, food packaged extremely well & you get good portions. The REAL catfish is the highlight. Run, don’t walk to this place. The greens & cabbage will leave you speechless

1st Timer I was lead here by google after visiting a new church in the area. The reviews definitely sealed the deal. I can rightfully say what I’m about to say next based on trend & experiences. Many (Not All) bob have extremely poor customer service & sub par food. When I arrived here it was a breath of fresh air. I was literally glad I ended up here and was impressed.

The establishment was extremely spotless & very orderly. The customer service by far is the best I’ve received in a long time. Let’s face it, it’s hard dealing with the public & to genuinely be greeted was nice. My order was taken promptly and the wait time was very minimal.

The food - sweet baby Jesus, it was manna from heaven lol. The reviews & explaining how good it is, does it no justice. Omg, it’s was to die for and you could tell these folks know what they are doing. I swear it had a touch of our ancestors & someone’s madea’s passed down influence. I was also impressed with how they package to go orders. To avoid this turning into a thesis, I’ll post bullet points.

Prices: Market Portions: generous Cooked fresh & not under a heating lamp You can tell they use QUALITY INGREDIENTS. Once you taste the food you’ll understand.

I hope they open up others location, like Arlington. I hope this place blows up & new business chases them.

Best soul food in dfw! I’ll never go to another business. I live in farmers branch & plan to visit weekly.

Lastly , often people get duped by other businesses advertising catfish when it’s real swai or tilapia. These folks definitely sale REAL catfish. Shout out to the crew...

Food is SOO good . Everything . The freaky peach daiquiri is my fav flavor so far . I might try to get a job up there . Update :

So since the first time I visited this restaurant I’ve been back about 6 times and I make sure I tell everyone I know how good the food is . Yesterday I went and I ordered the fish and wings . I requested the wings be packaged separately ( I was sharing the meal with my child ) the dining room is still closed so we had to take our food with us . I wanted my baby to be able to eat in the car without my food getting cold . I was told that they would not separate the wings. Wasn’t given an option to buy another container or anything . I know the power of my dollar and I only spend it with businesses that appreciate and respect it . So I left and went to wing stop next door which took an extra 45 minutes but if I needed them to package my food a certain way they would without an issue . The last time I went I ordered a drink with my meal, apparently the guy didn’t hear me or didn’t add it onto my ticket so when the food was brought out there was no drink . I told the lady that I had a drink and she went back in I guess to check and see if I was charged for it . In the meantime I noticed from looking at my receipt that I wasn’t charged for the drink and the lady never came back out . In order to get the drink I would have had to go back through the drive through which was probably 6-7 cars deep ( the lobby is STILL closed ) which was absolutely not an option . I stopped at the nearest gas station for my drink . Mag & dag will never have to worry about me again , I’ll gladly cook my food at home or...

This was my 1st time here. I have seen so many people post about them on FB. I just had to try it. Took me a year to make it. But, oh boy am I glad I did. I believe in doing my google reviews faithfully. I went after worship service. I used the drive thru. You can go in and sit down and eat. But, they take your order, you pay, and then they have you to park to the left side of the building. They will bring it out to you. It doesn't take long either. It comes out piping hot. I don't know where to start on the greens and Mac and cheese. I enjoyed the veggies!!! Next time I will add some yams. The ox tails are tender and sits on a bed of rice. They are good as well. They are beef ox tails. It was worth the cost of them. I will definitely be going again if it's just for the veggies and the cornbread muffin. I don't understand the negative reviews of cold food and tasteless food. I can say the ox tails were seasoned and very good. The greens were very tender and seasoned. The Mac and cheese was delicious. I went for the ox tails and nothing else. That's what I see people post all the time. The wait was not an hour and some have posted. I got there shortly after they had opened. Food was ready. And, it was plenty food. I can eat off of the plate for two days. So, I guess people are really greedy. I don't know how you can eat all those ox tails and two sides in one setting. I ate one ox tail and half of my sides and half of my cornbread muffin. I was full and sleepy. Went...
