I went last night for the first time and was extremely disappointed. My boyfriend's food was super good (I think he got the lobster sandwich) but mine was wrong. I went back to the stand and told the cashier I asked for cilantro not to be on my fish tacos and whether or not the crab queso was supposed to be cold since I genuinely did not know. The cashier said that the cook put less cilantro in it since the fish is marinated with it and no the queso isn't supposed to be cold. I said, "well I do not want cilantro at all. I wouldn't have gotten it if you'd told me it was still going to have cilantro on it." Come on man. That's not what I asked for, and That's not okay. I honestly think it's because I look younger than what I am that made them be careless. Cilantro literally makes me gag. She could've just told me they couldn't do it beforehand. I decided to go elsewhere, so I asked for a refund. She rolled her eyes as she was annoyed the whole time and went to the cook. He asked me what was wrong, I repeated myself. He mumbled that he didn't know how to do refunds. I asked him again," you don't know how to do refunds?" Because I was so confused lol. It's not funny but saying you "can't " do refunds if more believable. He shrugged his shoulder and said no. I then asked him to remake my food and place it to go. I’ve visited The Dock 5 times over the last few weeks, each time ordering the Maine Lobster roll. It’s been so good that I had my mom drive over an hour to downtown (yesterday) just go get a roll from here. The rolls are normally very meaty and well balanced. Service was great yesterday, rolls were delicious and we ate every last crumb. I visited again today, taking 2 individuals with me, they’ve wanted to try it since I’ve bragged about the food. Cashier had an attitude and definitely didn’t seem like she was happy to be there, which was picked up on by our entire group. I ordered the Maine roll again….for the 6th time and the portion (for both me and my friend that also ordered a roll) was completely different than what I’ve received previously. It was probably about half of the portion I’ve previously received and not as good, something was different today—really disappointing. I also ordered the lobster bisque for the first time and it had two small little chunks of lobster on it. The flavor was different, to be fair, I’ve never had lobster bisque but there was something unbalanced in there, it made the flavor very overwhelming. Here’s the kicker on top of everything else, I asked for a water cup, just as I did yesterday with zero issue. Today, I’m offered a flimsy paper cone cup….after spending $35 (just this visit). I felt robbed at this location!!!! We went there on Saturday night & was extremely disappointed with the visit. We ordered for as pier street corn and asked to add lobster. They just gave me plain corn without lobster & I paid $13 for a small cup of corn.… RIDICULOUS!!! Firstly ,The guy did not understand what I was ordering and seemed sleepy or disinterested in what he was doing & totally seemed not to care much!!! I have been to Dock local in uptown a lot of times & never faced something like this. I have been to the Plano location as well. But nothing like this. The staff was definitely not friendly or welcoming. They don’t have same menu in all the locations. I walked in to get the fried shrimp with a side of house chips, but instead got the house crab seasoned chips. And wanted corn with lobster, but just received pain corn.
