NEW HOTSPOT on Henderson!
Hendy’s on Henderson is hands-down one of the best bar experiences in the area. It’s got that perfect mix of cool energy, killer cocktails, and staff that actually makes you want to stay a while.
Chuy behind the bar is an absolute standout — friendly, fast, and knows exactly how to craft a drink that hits just right. Whether you’re a cocktail connoisseur or just looking for something smooth, Chuy’s got you. He’s the kind of bartender who makes the place feel personal.
And then there’s Logan—you’ll hear him before you see him with that signature tin shake that could wake the dead (in the best way possible). He brings serious skill, shakes and a ton of personality. Watching him work is like getting a little cocktail theater with your drink.
The whole vibe at Hendy’s is warm, energetic, and unpretentious. Whether you’re in for a chill night or getting the evening started, it’s always the right move.
Pro tip: Grab a seat at the bar and let Chuy and Logan take the wheel—you’ll leave...
Read moreI was in town from Austin and saw this place recommended on Instagram. The food looked really good so my husband and I decided to give it a try. The vibe wasn't what I was expecting, but not bad. I was expecting a cute, laidback, Sunday brunch vibe but this is definitely a college bar. It was the Red River Showdown weekend so that also amplified the atmosphere, I'm sure. The girls behind the bar were super nice, though, and took great care of us.
We thought the food was fantastic. We started with the ahi tuna and pretzel calamari. The tuna was super fresh and light. I was nervous about the pretzel batter for calamari but it was a light flavor instead of thick and heavy like I was worried it might be. The calamari was also cooked perfectly, not dried out and tough.
My husband ordered the BLT and I got the breakfast sandwich. Both were delicious, as well, and their breakfast potatoes were probably the best I've had.
I think as long as you come in knowing it's a young crowd, you're...
Read moreSaw this on TikTok as a new brunch rec from a couple influencers I follow. I actually don’t recommend coming here for brunch. Showed up with my friends right when they opened. Had to park a 5 minute walk from the building on a random, sketchy street. There was a bouncer- he made my best friend walk all the way back to where they parked to get his ID just so we could enter. We did and, when we finally got in, every table was apparently reserved so they said our best chance of eating was to sit at the bar. You might have a better time if you get a reservation and uber just to sit down at a sports bar with a college game day vibe- not necessarily for weekend brunch (bizarre given their aesthetic). Brunch places we love instead: Bread Winners in uptown, Chelsea's Corner in Uptown, Snooze in Preston Hollow, Chefika Mediterranean Grill, Blue Sushi Sake Grill, the Fifth in Richardson, Hg Suply in Greenville and Brunch Time in Plano. (I am not a...
