My husband and I was starting to like this place until we encountered MARISOL, THE MANAGER. We stay in Deep Ellum so this place is very close to us, walkable and affordable. On Saturday night we were hungry and decided to order food. We called in, ordered our food for delivery( too crowded in D.E., we didn’t want to get out). Marisol, the manager said it would be an hour, so we said okay. Within 5 minutes we decided to just walk up there, we called twice to let them know we will come get the food but was placed on hold for some time. So we headed that way. When we got there we told them we were picking up a delivery order whenever it’s ready. Marisol with an attitude, “you can’t do that, you said delivery. It’s against our policy”. (We didn’t know that of course) She continued, “ next time you can’t do that”, okay ma’am we called but was placed on hold. “Well you should have said something then”, we couldn’t because once again we were placed on hold. Later she came out, threw my food on the counter and paper and said, “Sign this!”. I’m like whoa, you’re getting out of hand. St this point I’m trying to calm myself as well as my husband. ( we are still waiting on his food).Ten minutes later, another employee brought my husband’s food out. I asked her nicely if I could speak with Marisol and of course she came out storming with an attitude, “What?!” I asked her was it a reason she had an attitude with us (because we wanted to pick up our order?!?)... she went on and said. “ we are busy and I don’t have time for this.” I told her we are paying customers and she should at least be respectful. She blew me off with the waving of her hand as she walked back into the kitchen and said “Whatever, Bye!”. Worst experience ever!! Never again will I enter this establishment. I would not...
Read moreIt was a busy Friday night and there weren't any tables available so we assumed it must be good. Since we couldn't be seated at a table, we decided to get our food to go. We stood at the counter for almost ten minutes and the lady NEVER acknowledged us. She even spoke to a group of men behind us and helped them but continued to ignore my boyfriend and I. I later found out that she was one of the managers, which is ridiculous! I get it, sometimes things get crazy and you get busy but at least acknowledge the customers and let them know you appreciate their patience and someone will be right with them. We got our pizza 30 minutes later and it was some of the worst pizza I've ever had! The crust was like eating cardboard and there was barely any sauce on the pizza. You would do better getting a frozen pizza! The pasta dishes other people were having looked good but DO NOT order the pizza. There was one waitress who was nice and took care of us but I most likely won't be going back...
Read moreFood is great but my experience was the complete opposite . I walked in with my boyfriend and the lady who worked there greeted us and let us know they were short staffed which was understandable. We ordered our food. The lady started complaining about how her coworkers on why they missed out on work which is a little unprofessional while customers are eating. 3 ladies were sitting diagonally from us and asked for ranch and the lady responds with “we charge but I’ll go ahead and give it to y’all” which is fine but mind you she says this all loud in front of customers, so i simply asked for one ranch and i get charged LOL and at that she makes us get up to go pay her at the register. I see she’s asking the girls how their food was and blah blah blah which is cool but not once asked us about how our food was LOL. I’m sure she was frustrated at the fact she was the only working which understandable but gives her also no reason to choose who she can...
