Mayer's Garden — Restaurant in Dallas

Mayer’s Garden has always been a nearby favorite of ours and specifically I always felt comfortable going with just my dog and I when my husband was working for dinner or a drink. I hadn’t been in a few months but decided to go tonight and get a drink and have my dog socialize because he loves it. I went to a table outside and sat for a while and a big group sat across from me and we chatted while we waited. After a couple of minutes a waitress came out and took the group’s orders and I assumed she would come to me after. She didn’t. So then I’m assuming some other server had my table. I wait for 20, 30, then 40 minutes and no one comes to my table or acknowledges that I’m there. Going out alone was always a fear for me and I never felt excluded at this restaurant, until today. Unfortunately,I think you guys lost a frequent customer. It’s one thing to wait at a table for 20 minutes until your server notices or is caught up, I understand that, which is why I waited. But waiting almost an hour by myself and not one person came up to me on a Saturday night was awful. If you’re giving Mayer’s Garden a first try please do because the drinks, food, and normally the customer service is great, but if you are a singular person going out, I wouldn’t...

Heard about this place on TikTok and thought we would give it a try for a girl's night out on a Monday. The only reason why I can give a two star is because the drinks were good and apps were decent. However, my service experience was not the best as a first time customer. We had Kelly as our server. In the span of 3+ hrs we only saw her 4 times. She was more attentive to her other customers. Unfortunately, those were the tables filled with white people and we were a table of black women. Didn't ask if we wanted to order more food or drinks. Just cleaned our table and walked off. The tall bartender with the girlfriend bartender need to go. Disrespectful, disgusting attitude, abusing power, 0 general customer service. They think they run the bar just because they are dating. NEWS FLASH: work and relationships never mix well. They are screwing you guys over with the loss of business. People were leaving just to not deal with them as staff. Sent this out in my friend group and 30+ of us will not be going to this establishment anymore. If I could give 0 stars I would. Don't waste your time with the incompetent staff.
