Anticipating my morning delicacy, I approached the window with great joy. I was greeted from the speaker not by a person but by a robotic recording (which was not nearly as sexy as Siri) trying to suggestive sell me something I have no interest in purchasing. "Would you like to try ..." I said no. I then ordered a Sausage, Egg, and Cheese biscuit and a large Diet Coke (trying to keep healthy by keeping my calories down you know) with no ice.
"You want a Sausage Egg Cheese biscuit" Now it's early, so I can ignore the missing conjunction here. "Anything else" Well, if you had actually listened to me, you would have known that I literally just said a large diet coke with no ice. However, you didn't. So I repeated myself. She followed this with, "You want a large coke with light ice." I suppose a volume control is missing from her headphones ... but I digress. So I repeated myself for the 3rd time - slowly and louder.
"Pull up." Pull up? Unless I'm making my annual visit to the gym and working with a trainer I hired to punish my body by forcing me to do chin ups or waking up from a power nap while piloting a plane, I don't care to hear the phrase pull up.
I get to the window. No greeting - even robot McDonald's said good morning. Just a hand extended to get payment. She disappeared into the bowels of the building only to return (again with no greeting) to hand me my receipt and card back.
Suffice it to say that I was (not) shocked when she handed me the drink with ice in it. In her defense it was light ice - but not what I had repeated literally 3 times when placing my order. I told her that I asked for no ice. With a look of disdain, she grabbed my cup, ripped the lid off, poured out the contents of my cup with all the gentleness exhibited by a bull in a china cabinet, and filled my cup (sans ice) back up with the requested libation.
So I get my bag and am on my way. In front of the store, I reached in ... finally able to enjoy my most devoured breakfast - a McDonald's Sausage, Egg, and Cheese biscuit. What to my wondering eyes didn't appear - a napkin. So I go back through the line and get to the window. She pulled open the window and looked at me. Not "what is wrong" or "how can I help" ... just a stare.
I didn't get a napkin with my order. No I'm sorry ... just a closed window. She returned with enough napkins to wipe down a baby elephant after a bath. A bit of overkill, but at least I won't need to buy napkins for a month.
So again I get to the front of the building and pulled out (not up) my biscuit. At this point, I'm less than joyful to discover the BACON, egg, cheese biscuit (conjunction left out to be consistent with the lingo).
Returning to the window, I let her know that this was not right either. By the way - I wasn't rude to her but not full of Christmas morning cheer either. She then returned from the bowels of McDonald's with my order. Well it was technically my order (minus the conjunction I would have used).
Nothing like a cold sausage, egg, cheese biscuit...
Read moreUpdate (June 2023): situation has not improved. Door says dining room open until 10PM. Came at 9:15 and door was locked.
Update (February 2023): returned a few months later. Dining room closed when website and door hours say it should be open (9:30 on a Tuesday- see photo).
Read below for previous reviews. This place is obviously going down the crapper. If you can't rely on this place being open when it says it should be, nothing else needs to be said. They obviously have too many customers, so I for one will be part of the solution to this problem...
Previous reviews below. Started off at 5 stars in August 2022.
Edit: spoke too soon in review below. Repeat visit today and crew ignored table service, yelled out people's table tent numbers after slamming their food on the counter in a paper bag. Dine in food with table service needs to be on a tray and brought to the table! McDs is about consistency. They need to exercise some quality control!
Manager came by afterwards, apologized, and provided a coupon for my next visit. That's appreciated, but this should have been right to begin with. So I still cannot give more than three stars for the time being. 4 would be "good" and 5 would be "above and beyond", neither of which is accurate.
However I will try to visit again in the future to see if they are able to sort this out out and will update my review and rating.
Previous review (which was 5 stars at that point):
What a great experience at this location today! Fast, order correct, table service correctly executed, clean restaurant. This is McD's as...
Read moreFood and service are usually great. Not tonight. I placed a mobile order around 820 for the drive-thru. After pulling up, I waited a few minutes, and no one said anything. During that time, someone pulled to the other screen. We waited, and they yelled to get someone's attention. I then changed to curbside and went to park. Checked in. About 10 minutes later, I still hadn't received my food, so I walked in. Stood in line for another 5 min, and no one even said anything to any of the 4 people standing there. Finally, someone acknowledged me. She asked me if I was the curbside, and I said yes. She then went back to get what was presumably my order. I stated I wanted a refund, which she gave it to me. I have NEVER waited that long at that location in the nearly 10 years I have gone there. Like WTH is going on? No apology, no sorry for the wait. Can we get you a cookie to compensate? Just hand me some 10 minutes or so old food and think everything is going to be okay. Just say sorry and we'll remake it and I won't have been fine. Just say sorry for the wait. Can we get you something else. Don't just hand me some old food and call it a day, especially since I waited nearly 20 minutes to get my food. And it wasn't...
