I would describe this restaurant as “Elevated Authentic Indian”.
We ate here on a Saturday night and the atmosphere was very pleasant. There are a mix of banquettes and chairs with each table and the interior is a tasteful mix of natural wood and sage tones. The menu offers a nice variety of options and clearly indicates which items are gluten free and vegetarian. There is a full bar as well as a fun cocktail and mocktail menu.
The food here is very fresh and presented beautifully. We ordered Dahl (flaky spheres filled with a lovely yogurt custard, chickpeas and truffle oil), lamb chops (3 per order and the best we have ever had-so tender), chicken tikka masala (best we have ever had by far- shareable between 2 people), chicken biryani (delicious - be aware there are bones but so good- shareable between 2 people), and shrimp in mango curry sauce (flavor explosion…the shrimp are big and fresh and the sauce is divine- best for 1 person or if you are sharing plates then 2) and it was all 5-star quality. The sauces were silky and each dish was thoughtfully seasoned to offer layers upon layers of flavor. We felt like the spice levels were appropriate for each dish and it’s very apparent that the spices used here are high quality. Prices seemed high when we took first glance at the menu but once we received our meals we completely understood. The portions are generous. Many plates are shareable as well. For dessert we had “Cham Cham- delightful sponge soaked in sweet milk sitting upon a delicious creamy sweet saffron sauce. Highly recommend this. We also tried a honeycomb shaped dessert (I did not get the name) that is slightly reminiscent of baklava (but of course Indian) with a lovely light creamy frosting.
Most importantly, we loved the kind service and hospitality we received at Namak from start to finish. The staff, chefs, owner and manager all seemed genuinely interested in making sure we felt welcome and seemed so excited to know that we enjoyed our experience. We will definitely be back.

Read moreFrom the moment we walked into Namak, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and the inviting aroma of Indian spices. The ambiance strikes a great balance between cozy and modern — perfect for a relaxed dinner or a special night out. We began our meal with the chaat, and it was the perfect way to start. Every bite was a medley of textures and flavors — crispy sev, soft potatoes, tangy tamarind, cool yogurt, and a touch of spice. The burst of pomegranate seeds on top added a refreshing pop. It was light, vibrant, and had all the nostalgic flavors of Indian street food, but with a refined twist. Next came the burrata bomb, and honestly, it was one of the most creative starters I’ve had. Creamy Italian burrata was paired with spicy Salsa and Indian seasoning. The fusion was unexpected but incredibly well-balanced. It’s one of those dishes that makes you do a double-take — in the best way. Moving into the entrées, the tandoori chicken stood out right away — served hot and sizzling from the tandoor. The chicken was juicy, deeply flavorful, and had that perfect char on the outside. You could tell it had been marinated with care and cooked just right. We also ordered the butter chicken, which was rich, smooth, and full of flavor. The sauce had just the right hint of sweetness and spice, and the chicken was tender and cooked perfectly. Paired with naan, it was everything you hope for in a comfort dish. To end the meal, we had Cham Cham for dessert — a soft, spongy milk-based sweet soaked in light sugar syrup. It was delicate, lightly sweet, and had a lovely texture that melted in the mouth. A perfect finish that didn’t feel too heavy after a flavorful meal. Overall, Namak delivers on all fronts — flavor, presentation, and service. Whether you’re looking to try Indian food for the first time or you’re already a fan, this place offers a beautiful mix of traditional and modern dishes that leave a lasting impression. And the presentation of the food is amazing very eye appealing best Indian fusion food in Dallas Highly...
