After multiple rude employees and lack of stock I am done shopping here. The woman in the bakery is rude. She snapped at me when I asked if they had anymore of the tuxedo bar cake. Rolling her eyes at me when she found one in the wrong spot with the label facing the shelf. I wish I could portray her attitude in this review.
The other encounter happened just now when an older woman asked two employees (could have been hired inventory help) for help getting down some juice. This woman snapped and started yelling down the aisle “you can’t use my ladder” when the lady didn’t ask to use her ladder, she simply asked for help getting some juice down. Instead of this hired help listening to what the elderly lady wanted she then proceeded to turn around and just completely ignore her. Maybe if she would of listened to the question she could of been a decent individual and helped out. But Tom Thumb doesn’t care about the people they have come in their stores to do inventory. Perhaps I should get paid for helping the older woman.
Your lack of inventory is also a joke. Even before the pandemic.
UPDATE 3/7 your customer service person told me she has no way to look up what aisle tahini is in. Told me “i don’t know, maybe aisle 4”. Which it’s not. You over head sound system repeating the same gibberish is also extremely annoying. Not...
Read moreIt was 102 degrees outside. We bought icecream and wanted to get through check out as quickly as we could so we used the self checkout line. The machine got stuck because we had to many bags and while my wife was tying them it would not take another item and would stick and say help is coming. I looked up and the Tom Thumb employee Ivan was just standing there looking down. I said in a nice way, "can we get some help please?" He said, it an annoyed tone with attitude, "I will be there in a minute" My icecream is steady melting but I kept it together. He came over and started helping us but with a real freaking attitude. I only can hope someone looks at it on camera and sees how he was shoving things through and pushing them at me with a really bad attitude. Then he walked off and started talking to a young woman. The machine got stuck and we waited and waited and waited while he talked to the young woman. So, I walked over to see what was going on and ask him to please come help us and he said. "I am talking to this customer! I will be with you in a minute! I don't know if I will return to this tom thumb because of this person and if I do I am going to have a...
Read moreThis Tom Thumb is disgusting. The store is filthy and clearly not taken care of, with dirt and mold on the shelves. NOT TO MENTION THE PRODUCE SECTION. Which was more devastating than I could have prepared myself for. I always knew this store was on the grimier side, but their selection is generally bigger than the smaller grocery stores in the area. However, when it comes to quality, you're better off going to WAL-MART or maybe even your local dumpster if you're looking for product better than what you will find here. Cucumbers were squishy, rotten, moldy, clearly treated with copius amounts of pesticides, and some were even broken clean in half, just chilling there amongst their disgusting brethren. Story was the same for oranges, apples, and other varipus produce. An associate even came over to 'routinely inspect' the produce and wasnt even fazed. And by inspect, i mean he literally picked up the package and threw it back down without any inspection whatsoever. Just don't come to this Tom Thumb for anything other than a good deal on candy or Gatorade when it goes on sale unless you like the idea of salmonella. And don't even get me started on the...
