These people are pure EVIL. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!
At a minimum, DO NOT use a Pizza Hut gift card here for delivery!!! The Door Dash driver will always arrive demanding more money. Despite the money being taken off the Pizza Hut gift cards, the driver's Door Dash app shows that the orders have NOT been paid (which is of course not their fault). In the past this has been a huge hassle, but it's generally worked out. The first time it happened, the Door Dash guy started crying and I paid him a second time in cash. After that, I insisted they call the Pizza Hut store. The old manager, Devin, would somehow work out the problem with them. Devin seemed indifferent to the problem. The fourth or fifth time I spoke with him, he said he'd "bring it up at the next regional meeting." I'm sure this never happened.
This last time, the Door Dash driver became violent. He drove off with my food and a $5 tip I had foolishly given him when he first arrived. I called the store and talked to their new manager, Sylvanus. He said I would receive a refund, which of course I did not (presumably because it was a gift card). He offered to remake my order, but it would take an hour and I agreed. Two hours later, I found my stone-cold food had been flung outside my door. It was disgusting and I had to just throw it away. This time store would not answer the phone. I presume he saw my number on the caller ID and didn't want to talk to me for obvious reasons.
The fact that a company the size of Pizza Hut refuses to work to solve this Door Dash problem is infuriating. I can't be the only person to whom this has happened. Even outside of the gift card issue, the managers of this store, both old and new, obviously don't care.
I used to have a tiny amount of sympathy, at least for the Door Dash people. No more. I will NEVER order from Pizza Hut again, I have several more gift cards from my elderly mother, so I suppose I have just lost that money. Read moreAfter I placed my order, I received an email confirmation (At 5:38 PM) advising that my order would be delivered by 7:00 PM. At around 6:30 PM the order tracker showed that my pizza was with a delivery driver and was on its way. At a little after 7 PM when my pizza had not arrived I called the store. I had to call several times and ended up selecting the “place new order“ option because the option to inquire about an existing order kept automatically terminating (I assume from something someone at the store was doing). I was finally passed through to a manager who said that my pizza had just been given to a delivery driver (In direct contradiction to what the online order tracker showed that my order had been with a driver since 6:30) and should be arriving within 30 to 45 minutes. I advised that I had a guaranteed delivery time by seven and he could cancel the order and give me a refund or alternatively I could call when the pizza arrived and he would give me a store credit. The pizza arrived an hour and a half later. Cold and soggy. Frankly by that point I was so tired of having to deal with the situation that I didn’t bother to call back assuming that I would be given the runaround again. Plus I don’t plan on ever ordering from the store and perhaps Pizza Hut again so a store credit would do me no good. Highly disappointed - should’ve ordered from Papa John’s like I considered and will do so in the future. To be honest I kinda figured I was going to have a bad experience, because after I placed my online order, the wait time was 2 freaken hours 😡. That is when I decided to look up reviews and knew I was definitely screwed. They have a lot of bad reviews 😥 Wish I would have read reviews before I ordered. I got pissed that my order got to me cold and took so long to get here. They are only 12 minutes away from the Hospital im staying in.... I gave the driver a $5 tip anyways, because I figured it wasn't his fault... But Never ever will I order from this place again... You do not get what you pay for, because I didn't pay for cold pizza... I had to microwave the pizza. If I wanted microwave pizza I could of bought a pizza pocket from the hospitals cafeteria..
