Customer service needs huge improvement with cashier on DAY shift! I decided to take a trip over to one of my favorite taco spots to eat. Mind you, it's 20 minutes out of the way. So got there, stood in line Just be to be told debit card machine down. Really didn't want this to be a wasted trip? So I GPS'd nearest WF huge sigh, anxiety hits headed downtown. After obtaining cash, I decided to park and call Taco City Y Mas to place the order over the phone so that I wouldn't have to wait too long once I got there. 1st call, the phone rang 3-4 times then I got a message i could not make outbound calls?? 2nd & 3rd call got the same message, ugh. 4th call the young lady working the cash register answered and asked me to hold, now I WAS NOT placed on a hold so I could hear her talking to customer taking orders but once I got to 5 mins of waiting I no longer could hear her and customers talking, I could only hear back ground noise. After 8 mins of holding and yelling hello into the phone there was no response so I hung up and drove the 9 mins back to their location. Upon driving up there was only 1 car in their parking lot. I went up to the window and asked her, why did you leave me on hold for 8 mins plus and her response was she was taking orders and I had hung up she stated rudely, she also stated she had been taking order while I had been BLOWING up her phone. Mind you the first 3 calls I made i keep getting the message "I cannot make outbound calls(??)" But evidently, she was getting my calls and hanging up on me. Sooo yes, very very very POOR customer service, the company's business is about making money and not running of loyal repeat customers as myself. When I complain I come with receipts. See photos. Management or owner you can confirm what I say, you can check the time orders were placed 4/9/25 12:46pm - 12:54pm. Do i think they would check, no... but i hope other companies pickup on this , how not to treat your customers. Taco City Y Mas with all said and done, your night...
Read moreI'm so happy to have found a delicious spot for birria tacos in the Dallas area!!
We were craving some good tacos and looking up spots around Dallas, and found ourselves drawn to this location because of its birria tacos. We decided to give it a try.
It's a very small location with a small staff and only a few outdoor tables, so when there's a lot of people ordering, the wait can be a little while. I'm not complaining though, because the tacos are worth the wait, and they work hard inside to get them out as quickly as they can and with quality work. For such a small location, it can draw quite the crowd of people trying to pick up orders in the evening! We waited over thirty minutes one time, but it was still well worth the wait to receive them.
The main thing we came here for were the birria tacos, and they were absolutely delicious. The birria plate comes with rice, beans, and consume, as well as three of the tacos. The meat is incredible and cooked to perfection. The thick cheese melts and your mouth and is an amazing feeling. The consume and salsa are the final satisfying touches. The salsa is pretty spicy, but not crazy spicy. It's perfect! The other menu item I love ordering here are the gorditas. They come filled to the brim with meat and cheese, with a hefty amount of toppings and salsa on the side. Very satisfying!
This is a small operation, with a window to order from and a few outdoor tables. When its crowded, the wait can be a while, but the quality of the food is well worth it. I definitely recommend coming and giving the birria tacos here a try. You...
Read moreI frequent this place...best tacos in Dallas. They usually have a pretty steady flow of traffic. The wait is about 10 minutes, depending on what you order. There is no inside, most people pick up, however there is some outdoor seating with lighting, on the patio. It's a small place, so there are only four parking spots, but people just park on the street or across the street in the auto shop lot. No worries around parking. If you don't place your order over the phone or online, order at the window in the front, pick up at the window on the right side. Snow cones are hit or miss - sometimes they have them, sometimes they don't. When they do, order one. You'll thank me later! They have vegan tacos (Rajas de Queso) for $1.25 and they are delicious!...can't beat that! *Note - I can't guarantee vegan tacos will be truly vegan, as I've seen my veggies being sauteed on the same cooktop as the meat (inquire before ordering). Birria tacos for $3, most other tacos are $2...salmon tacos were a miss for me, but the shrimp tacos are a yes! They have corn or flour tortillas... If you order beef tacos the meat will be like steak (I hear they're really good). There are no real Taco Tuesday specials, but their tacos are $2-$3...no special needed. Four tacos are what it takes to satisfy me. You can order your tacos as individual tacos or as plates... There are also a lot of other menu options to choose from as well (rice and beans, fried rice, breakfast tacos,...
