Planned to go on a double date with a bestie and decided on Tequila Social since it was new and everyone wanted to try it out. From the start, the experience wasn’t ideal.

  1. Tried calling to see if they took reservations… phone rang for over 4 minutes the 3 times I called — no one ever answered.

  2. Phone recording says Happy Hour is from 2pm-7pm. Menu says until 6pm. Ordered drinks at 630pm and definitely was not at HH pricing (I’d suggest to align the menu and phone times to prevent any confusion).

  3. There’s not a quick way to run into the restaurant to check to see if tables are available without paying for valet, or walking a block (since phone calls aren’t answered). Front entrance/host stand is a podium in a parking garage. Friends found parking/signage to be not helpful and they ended up parking in the apartment complex’s spaces.

  4. Wait time was mentioned to be 30 minutes — I always expect or give +- 10 minutes on quoted time before a former server bartender. We got buzzed 40 minutes after putting our name in.

  5. The bartender we were waited by was fantastic! Can’t remember her name, but she was soooo nice and personable. The drinks were great as well.

  6. Finally we were seated, but waited close to 10 minutes before anyone stopped by to greet us or drop off waters. Finally, the host noticed we haven’t been seen by anyone and she grabbed our server (that passed by several times before seeing her other two tables).

  7. Once we finally ordered apps and our meal, we had an extra app delivered to the table that we did not order (we gladly tried it and was going to pay for it). Our meals came out wrong 3 different times. The food runners did not know table numbers, or the server mixed up our order with the table next to us. Once receiving food items, one guest at the table questioned the server on the meal delivered and she blatantly looked at it and said it was the correct item ordered. A few minutes later the actual meal was delivered correctly and he mentioned it to the server and she tried to say that it was the same but with and ingredient added to it (that was not on the menu). At this point. Just say you don’t know the menu or acknowledge that you’re wrong when two different items are in front of you and you’re pointing out the different on a menu pulled up on the phone. We finally got our meals delivered correctly, as well as our neighboring table on the third attempt.

With all that said, I think a soft opening would have benefited them. If a soft opening was done for friends or family, the workers did not seem to take note of what is actually on the menu or the ingredients, nor did they know table numbers. We tipped 20% for what was a disaster of a meal, will likely just stick to Katy Trail Ice House. It seems the quality of food is similar, but you seem to get more (and a larger selection). I might give TS another try in a few months, but have never had this bad of an experience at a restaurants opening week. It’ll be nice since Katy Trail needs another spot aside from KTIH.

Btw, order a frozen mango margarita, but opt for the orange liqueur instead of the norm mango — it’s delicious...

Tequila Social is an absolute gem in the world of Tex-Mex cuisine! From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with warm smiles and an inviting ambiance that immediately set the tone for a delightful dining experience. The vibrant décor and lively atmosphere create the perfect backdrop for a memorable meal.

The menu is an absolute delight, boasting an impressive array of traditional Tex-Mex dishes with a modern twist. Every dish I tried was a burst of flavors, perfectly balanced and expertly crafted. The fajitas were sizzling with tantalizing aromas, the tacos were bursting with fresh ingredients, and the enchiladas were an absolute fiesta for the taste buds.

What truly sets Tequila Social apart is their exceptional customer service. The staff is incredibly attentive and knowledgeable, always ready to make recommendations and ensure that every need is met. The waiters are friendly and quick to accommodate any special requests, making the entire dining experience feel personalized and special.

Of course, I can't forget to mention the impressive selection of tequila and cocktails that perfectly complemented the meal. The bartenders are true artists, mixing up creative concoctions that perfectly match the lively spirit of the restaurant. Whether you're a tequila aficionado or simply looking to enjoy a well-crafted margarita, Tequila Social has you covered.

Overall, my visit to Tequila Social was a culinary journey filled with delicious food, excellent drinks, and top-notch service. I cannot wait to return and indulge in more of their mouthwatering offerings. If you're looking for an authentic Tex-Mex experience with a modern twist and a vibrant atmosphere, look no further than Tequila Social. Highly recommended for both casual gatherings and...

The location of Tequila Social is phenomenal, and this time I was seated on the patio, which was lovely. The staff is friendly, and the service was good overall. I brought my dog and five friends for dinner, one of whom brought her child. While I understand this establishment isn’t particularly catered to families, having drink options and a small children’s plate on the menu wouldn’t be a bad idea.

Food & Drinks: The chips and salsa left much to be desired—they lacked flavor and weren’t seasoned properly, resulting in a very bland taste. For appetizers, we ordered empanadas. Despite the great presentation, the accompanying sauce and cheese were underwhelming, which felt like a missed opportunity to elevate the dish.

We tried several rounds of cocktails. While we finished them, they weren’t anything special or memorable—nothing that stood out as picture-worthy.

For our main dishes, we ordered chicken nachos and quesadillas, which were good and came in large portions. The steak tacos were nicely seasoned, and I enjoyed the flavors and the fried tortilla. However, offering garnishes like cilantro or onion could have elevated the experience.

The fish tacos were also good but could have been improved with additional dressings or garnishes. Someone in our group ordered fajitas, which were okay, but the smoky presentation isn’t my favorite since it leaves everyone smelling like the dish afterward.

Overall Experience: This visit was better than my last, but it still felt like an average experience. There were hits and misses, and while some dishes showed promise, others lacked flavor or felt incomplete. With some adjustments—especially in seasoning, garnishes, and drink presentation—Tequila Social could deliver a much stronger...

Hey Dallas!! NEW RESTAURANT with AWESOME PATIO at KATY TRAIL IS NOW OPEN! Last night, we decided to visit the latest restaurant in Dallas, and we were not disappointed by the incredible food and ambiance. The tacos were a perfect choice for Ava while I indulged in some delightful tequila. Without a doubt, Tequila Social at Katy Trail is the ultimate destination to experience. Check out the latest concept of @harwoodhospitality this weekend!! You will not be disappointed and bring your furry friend too because Tequila Social is pet friendly. **Out of respect for the patrons and the bustling atmosphere of the packed restaurant, I discreetly captured snippets of my experience on film, capturing what I could without disrupting the ambiance** Tequila Social Dallas 3100 McKinnon St (Ground Floor) Dallas, 75201 #hosted #newdestaurantindallas
