Came in around 2pm for table of 2 was immediately stopped by security asking to look in my purse, he searched my husband as well that was strike #1 if you immediately get treated like a criminal how can this be a restaurant youâd want to attend. #2 the I waited 15 min for someone to return to the host station. She asked for our phone number n told us it would be an hour wait although the place didnât look too packed she said the back had to catch up with food orders. There was nowhere to sit for the âhour long waitâ so everyone stood around. After 25 min of not receiving an initial text I questioned the host, she entered my number wrong. Music is blasting so loud so I understood, she assured me we wouldnât lose our place in line. About another 20 min later I seen the host turning new customers that entered away saying she was instructed to and theyâre no longer taking brunch customers. As Iâm think weâve been waiting for at least 45 min we should be fine. I see a customer who was waiting before me inquire and she notified the customer who had been waiting an entire hour already that her party had to leave as well. They can come back after 6 which was 3 hrs from now. After that customer left I went as inquired the status of our table at this time we should only have 15 mins left. She too told me we had to leave and would not be served! I could not believe that I stood there for 45 min and then I had to inquire the host never came to me and as told we wouldnât be able to eat unless we came back in 3 hours! The worst! No communication! Thank God we didnât take an Uber because this place also charges $20 for parking and adds 20% gratuity automatically to your bill! We drove about 50 mins to get there all for a waste of a trip! I do not plan to return but I do plan on spreading the word to everyone about the horrible experience! Also, this place is not black owned! Which I understand why the need for the security checks. Itâs okay to take black money but not trust the individuals paying for your establishment! Disgusting and a huge...
Read moreThe restaurant is hard to find. Since there isnât anywhere else to park near the restaurant, you will be forced to pay the mandatory valet fee of $15 to park in the garage. If you are paying for valet with a card, then you will be further forced to pay the almost $2 service charge, which now makes valet almost $17. Upon entering, the hostess was not welcoming. She also did not know the guest that was waiting for me by name or where she was sitting while waiting for me. I sat at the bar while waiting for the last guest to arrive. None of the bartenders even acknowledged me or asked if I wanted something to drink. We moved to a booth & there were no physical menus. You have to use your phone to view the menu by scanning a QR code. The waitress was polite and knowledgeable about the menu, however she never returned to our table to see if we needed refills of water. There were issues with dispensers, which resulted in our table not getting the preferred juice mixes of their choice for mimosas. The wine served for the mimosas was a very low end brand. The food was okay, but the portion sizes were small for the price point. Our tickets were separated, even though we didnât ask & we were all charged a 20% gratuity & service charge individually. Then, when paying, we were asked to leave another tip. Why would we do that when you just took a mandatory tip? 𤣠We were a party of 3 who did not order much and werenât demanding at all. The also put a service charge hood of $50 on your account to pay for your food, even if your food cost less than $50. The restroom is small and seems tight when multiple parties are in at once, but clean. The worst part of all was the volume of the music. We were almost screaming to talk to each other. This is not the place if you want a quiet/relaxing brunch. Thereâs more of a young crowd dining and working here. It is also like the business was attempting to squeeze an extra penny out of you without you being aware. I wonât...
Read moreIâve stopped in a few different Fridays after work, and finally went for brunch. Though searching my purse at the door was off-putting, along with purchase card holds, service fees, and forced gratuity, service has improved since my 1st visit. No one was there to greet customers, and after waiting for 15mins, searching for somewhere else to go, and about to walk out to another spot, the hostess and her gentleman friend finally came in the front door, went to the back for another few minutes, THEN she came out to greet us as he headed for the bar. She was fine thereafter with service, but I never forgot my 1st impression. The food was good that visit, so we returned a couple more times. Fast forward to brunch today and service is much better and organized, but the food isnât as impressive. I ordered a side of french toast for $8 and was served a slice of toast, cut in half. Though tasty, a slice of bread was not my idea of a side.. And the chicken tenders were overcooked. I washed a bit down with 2 glasses of water and left the rest. Fries are always good. My daughter ordered shrimp and grits, also tasty, but was served a plate full of grits, a type of roux and four regular sized shrimp. Maybe weâre just greedy??? I hate there is no bourbon/whiskey cocktail offered, but decided on a tequila one that was tasty. The vibe is always cool, but I brunch out often, and the $100+ spent today for 2 wasnât worth it.
Also, have to mention valet annoyed me with how they hit the corner in my vehicle. My friend mentioned the same for her car and I had to direct them on how to squeeze around a truck that he almost swiped. Idk, I doubt Iâll keep trying...
