As a life long fan of Indian food growing up in the UK and having mostly Indian friends growing up and in turn obviously eating Indian food for as long as i can remember i can say this place is fantastic, I am here for a business trip at my companies headquarters and took the food back to my hotel, it was well packaged, i was provided with all utensils needed and it was still perfect temperature when arriving back at my room. The food itself was flavorsome, authentic, freshly cooked and absolutely delicious, the CTM was bursting with flavor and you could taste all the herbs/spices in the gravy without it being overpowering, it had that slight hint of richness and sweetness you would expect from a CTM but still balanced very well, the naan bread was cooked to perfection with a nice subtle coating of ghee, the basmati rice was nice and fresh, I had a Mango lassi and the mango flavor was so ripe and together it perfectly complimented the extremely fresh yogurt/curd, so refreshing and tasted great, i also had a butter chicken over the weekend on a quick visit to this restaurant one night when i initially arrived in Dallas (no picture) and that was equally as impressive, I highly recommend this restaurant and i will try some more traditional dishes before i leave Dallas, but if you are looking for great Indian cuisine look no further I had a slight issue upon arrival but Hardeep took the time out of her day and busy restaurant to solve it immediately, we even exchanged quick stories of how we both ended up in the great US of A and it was nice hearing an experience from a different perspective, it was immediately clear how kind of a person she is and how hardworking she is, she came across sincerely genuine, had a welcoming smile and is obviously a business owner who truly cares for her customers… I am lucky to be very familiar with the Punjabi culture and she is just another budding example of how kind and good hearted people from that region truly are, I will be back before leaving and everytime i come on a business trip in the future, thank you for your amazing kindness today Hardeep and of course for your amazing food, i sincerely wish you, your business and your family the very best for the future Shukar Guzar 🙏🙏🙏 Edit: the container was full when i got the food, these pics were taken after a full serving just to show the quality of the take out container, definitely no spills and also definitely generous portions, can easily get two good plates out of one curry 😃

It has been a while that I sat in an Indian restaurant and said wow with my first bite. I guess it’s mainly because after eating Indian food for years over four continents there isn’t a lot that surprises me with Indian cuisine. secondly, I wasn’t expecting this experience to be in Dallas of all the places but it just happens to be that I came to Dallas with a true Indian food lover who introduced me to this wonderful place called Namak. Then I had chicken fried rice at a lot of places, including the Chinese restaurants that this dish actually belongs to but these guys did an amazing job at the Indian Chinese fusion, as they say in America they hit it out of the park. The Tandoori paneer Tikka was soft and made nicely. The medium spicy Paneer Chilli was hot and delicious but the star of the night for me was chicken fried rice with an Indian kick. Second night a delicious glass for mango lassi accompanied by chicken Manchurian, chicken, curry and Chana Bhatura made my night. I must also mention the wonderful, very attentive, very supportive and professional customer service here, for the first two nights we had the pleasure of Mr Patel serving us who not only provided service with the smile but guided us through the amazing menu with wonderful suggestions. The last (third night) we had the pleasure of having Ms Krithi as our server who not only knew what we had enjoyed (more like loved) the first two nights she also guided us (group of 7, 8 if you include my imaginary writer on my back) to additional new selections such as Palak Paneer, chicken qorma and grill mix which all where nothing short of amazing. Mind you nobody comes to Dallas for their Indian food, It’s steaks all around but next time I’m coming to Dallas I am going straight to Namak.

We went here based on all of the positive reviews. I will tell you about my experience in a minute, but first I want to clarify why the sheer number of reviews for this restaurant. At the end of our meal, our waitress asked if we had a positive experience, and we were all very complimentary of the food and the service. The waitress then immediately pulled up a QR code on her phone and asked us to all leave her and the restaurant a 5 star review. She took it from chair to chair and waited for me to get out my phone from my purse. She even asked my 13 year old daughter to leave a review. (I wouldn’t let her.). My mom was also with us and has no idea how to do most things on her phone and the waitress all but took her phone to do it herself. She stood at our table until all of us had completed the review. It was somewhat intimidating, and it felt as if she were lording over us until we each showed her it was finished. We were all happy to leave a good review because the food really was good and the service was top notch, but the pressure to give a review at that very moment while she was going around from chair to chair at our table making sure we were all doing what she was requesting left a very bad taste in my mouth. So if you wonder why this restaurant has an extremely high rating, it’s because it is good, but it’s also because you feel you can’t leave until you can prove you have given a positive review. So I give this restaurant a 1 star review because I want this read. I feel it is very poor practice to be so pushy. But I do give all elements of this review 5 stars. You won’t be disappointed. Just be prepared to show your review if you want to be granted permission to leave...
