I recently visited the Kati Roll Company on Elm St in Dallas, Texas, and ordered a variety of rolls to-go, including the unda steak roll, unda Shami roll, steak tikka roll, chicken tikka roll, and unda chicken roll, along with sides of raita chutney and green chutney.
Every roll was bursting with flavor and perfectly spiced, making each bite a delight. The unda rolls had a wonderful texture with the added egg, enhancing the overall taste experience. The steak and chicken tikka rolls were especially tender and juicy, showcasing the high quality of the ingredients used.
The raita and green chutneys complemented the rolls perfectly, adding a refreshing and tangy kick that balanced the richness of the rolls. The portion sizes were generous, and everything was neatly packed, ensuring that the food stayed warm and fresh until I got home.
What's even better is that this Dallas location is from the same company that started it all in New York City. The authenticity and quality that made the original famous are evident here, too.
Overall, my experience with the Kati Roll Company was fantastic. Their delicious and authentic rolls, combined with friendly service, make this place a must-visit. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a satisfying and flavorful...
Read moreI have never had these sorts of rolls before. I would recommend the basic Unda Aloo Roll to start off with and then explore the rest of the menu or make modifications such as using Roti instead of Paratha. The spices and green chutney sauce in these rolls makes your mouth water. The value for your dollar is good and if you are a nearby employee, you can show your office badge for a catering discount of 10%. You can also request the stamp card if you frequent TKRC.
I do take issue with the cleanliness of the restaurant. One can look over the counter and into the kitchen. I have found multiple times where they take delivery of their ingredients and it sits outside throughout the duration of my stay. These should promptly be received and moved into the fridge. I have gotten food poisoning twice and each time it was when I went outside to eat at TKRC. I would caution against buying the Alfonso Mango Lassi as that contains more temperature sensitive ingredients likely to make you ill if the restaurant does not handle it properly.
This business does not validate parking. There is very limited metered street parking and there was two parking garages along Elm St, the same...
Read moreI love khati roll but this place has a non-desi target audience. They are looking for the downtown lunch crowd. Foods meant to be cooked quickly so everything is premade(Highly Processed), i believe their parathas are made elsewhere and shipped frozen, thus my stomach is still hurting from last night. If you like to survive, here's my advice
